23/11/2013 - A DANGER THAT SURROUNDS THE SONS OF GOD

This I say, therefore, and testify in the Lord, that you should no longer walk as the rest of the Gentiles walk, in the futility of their mind;

Ephesians 4:17

A danger that surrounds the sons of God is to use those that are lost as an example. Because they don’t have the light of God, the ungodly people live under the direction of the prince of darkness, who leads them in many ways to conquer their souls. Some consider themselves to be lucky because they can easily commit sins, and others, because they can make good money. They don’t care about the way they’re living in, or about what their future will be like.

The sad thing is that these people are living away from the life of God. In this way, the spiritual ignorance that they find themselves in doesn’t allow them to even desire the Creator’s company, the only one who could really give them everything they need to be happy here and for eternity. Therefore, the best of life is thrown away, and when they reach their final moments of existence, they will find out that they didn’t prepare for eternal life.

Because they don’t know the truth, those who aren’t saved will never find fulfillment. Fame, power, money and everything else does not fulfill the human being (Ec. 1:14). The hardness of their hearts keeps them from acknowledging the Lord’s operation, and therefore they’ll never find out what has been prepared to them through the death of Christ. It is hard to understand how someone who has been illuminated through the Word, can look up to those who are in the darkness.

One of the signs that a person is living in darkness is the insensibility they have regarding the truth. This happens because the kingdom of darkness blinds the understanding of its subjects, and those who are sinners become angry at the way we proceed through faith. Some of them consider us to be fanatics, fools, people without understanding (1 Co. 1:23); but the truth is exactly the opposite. The fact is that those who speak the error language do not admit the holy doctrine.

Paul’s warnings are that we do not walk like the gentiles – the lost ones – those who haven’t yet been reached by the divine grace. They surrender to dissolution and commit all sorts of impurity. Well, if we are part of the Holy God, why don’t we walk in holy ways? The secret is to reject what the Scriptures reject, because it is from the devil.

Surrender to the Spirit of God, seek the divine will, and you will feel satisfied. Only God’s truth is capable of delivering one hundred percent of peace. Success in any area doesn’t mean that you are right, because the only way to really make things right is to accept Jesus as your Savior.

Listen carefully, if there is a small doubt inside your heart, you are still not completely under the plan of God. The Lord is perfect, and His operation pleases us entirely. Those who live under His salvation lack nothing.
