30/03/2013 - A LESSON FOR PESSIMISTIC BELIEVERS

He loves righteousness and justice; the earth is full of the goodness of the Lord.

Psalm 33.5

It may seem like a contradiction, but there are pessimistic believers, and this condition makes them suffer in the hands of evil spirits. The servants of the Mighty One should not nurture this feeling, because the Lord declares than in all things we are more than conquerors (Romans 8.37), since we can find God’s goodness everywhere, including in the air we breathe.

There is no reason for a person who is saved to fear anything because the Lord is his shepherd and he shall not want. But if, by any chance, he lacks something, it is good that he examines himself to find out if the Word of God has always come first in his life.

How is it possible for a person that was born again in Christ and made king and priest to our God (Revelations 5.10) to believe in the devil, thinking he is not qualified for the work of God? If we look at the Word of God, we will see that the Lord did not give his children a spirit of pessimism. On the contrary, those who belong to the Lord have promises and declarations that give them victory in battles and the only thing they should worry about is whether or not they remain steadfast in the faith in Jesus.

By saying that the Lord loves righteousness, the Bible declares that we have to demand our rights; and that is why carrying out justice is our duty. Everything that is written in the Holy Scriptures ensures us that the devil will not overcome us. Therefore, there is no need to beg the Father to bless us.

When we Christians take our position in Jesus and ordain what the Bible says regarding us, we see our problems disappear. You can be sure that, because you have not taken your position in the kingdom of the Father, the evil one is being successful in attacking you. Being a child of God, you have the words of Christ, which says that everything we ask (that is, that we ordain) in his name will be done (John 14.14).

Those who are fooled by the spirit of pessimism will find out that they are weak. And the opposite is also true. So, if the devil tries to convince you that your problem has no solution, do not believe. Fix your eyes in the words of Jesus, and do not fear anything from the devil.

All you need to do is look around you and see how much the Lord has been good to those who trust in him. Why would it be different with you? Those who trust in the blessed words of the Lord receive power that makes them act as if they were from a different race. God’s anointing over your life gives you the same Power that Jesus had during his ministry on Earth.

In Christ, with love,

R. R. Soares
