Cast away from you all the transgressions which you have committed, and get yourselves a new heart and a new spirit. For why should you die, O house of Israel? Ezekiel 18.31

Ezekiel brought a message of God to the Israelites so that they would not die. However, since they were intoxicated by the distorted vision of the Lord’s matters, they loved more the darkness than the light, so they had a sad ending. Today, we also despise the love of the Father, who calls us for repentance (Luke 5.32), and we do not live in His presence. Therefore, we will lose what is best from the Lord and we will die.

Like all people, the Israelites were contaminated with two types of transgressions: Adam’s sin – who committed high treason and placed us under the enemy’s guard –, and the daily sins. Now, as for the matter in Eden, it has already been solved. Now, you must verify how you have behaved, what have you thought and done, for if you die in sin, you will be forever lost. Be careful!

The people of Israel violated the Lord’s commandments, so their destruction was certain. It does not matter what church you belong to, or what you do for the work of God. The daily violations, prohibited by the Word, will lead the Christian to Hell, in the same way that the lack of conversion will lead the sinner there as well. The biblical order is for us to be holy, because the Most High is holy (1 Peter 1.16). What have you to say about this?

In those days, nobody could be freed from Adam’s mistake, since Jesus had not yet been born, and therefore, the enemy had the authority to attack any human being and drive him towards an evil way. However, if the person was a Jew or converted to Judaism and kept the Law of Moses, he would be freed from evil action. Today, the conversion to the Gospel brings salvation to every individual, making him be born again (Jo 3.3).

Those who obeyed the commandments of the Law created in themselves a new heart and spirit. This was a shadow of the work that God would do in all people who would believe in Jesus after the Calvary. The process of salvation begins with accepting Christ as Savior, following by the gift of repentance and the baptism in the waters, and ending with the baptism in the Holy Spirit.

If the Israelites decided to fulfill what was written in the Law, they would not die; if they didn´t fulfill, even being the seed of Abraham (Is 41.8), their death was certain. Today, if those who belong to Jesus do not obey the divine precepts, they will prove the second death – eternal separation from God (Rev 20.6). Those who do not fulfill the Word’s commandments will certainly not ascend with Jesus.

Do not be deceived with the success of many denominations, nor try to transform your church in the largest, best spoken of, or more powerful one. Do the opposite: fight so that people might find the Truth and follow it, for without this knowledge, they will certainly taste the second death, and then they will be forever condemned.
