And as you go, preach, saying, ‘The kingdom of heaven is at hand.  Matthew 10.7

One of the instructions given by Jesus to his disciples was that they preach the arrival of the Kingdom of Heaven.  In other words the oppressed by the evil spirits could be set free.  Those who are righteous and love God should follow this direction with the greatest fidelity.  In the Almighty’s understanding the apostles should proclaim this.  Even today, he wants us to do this everywhere.

After leading the people to understand that they were not being enlightened to be religious, but to practice the Word, the disciples should heal the sick.  For this to happen, they had received authority over the devil.  Now, those who were called by the Lord, having been born again, receive power to do the works that Jesus and His followers did.  To heal the sick is part of this great mission. 

On witnessing the apostles as they healed the sick, the lost had proof that the message came from God, for the healing of someone does not come from magic but yes by direct action from the Holy Spirit.  It is undeniable that this divine command must be exercised in its entirety.  On all sides we meet people who are overcome by suffering.  No doubt, only those who know how to use the Name of Jesus can heal them.

After healing the sick, the disciples should undergo another action: to deliver the oppressed, such as drug users, those who practice prostitution, dishonesty, as well as those who are ruled by various other religious doctrines or under any other enemy influence.  Whoever is afflicted by the devil will never be completely whole.

Following the deliverance of those who were possessed by demons, the apostles should resuscitate the dead.  Spiritually speaking, there are many people surrounding us in this condition, even in our churches.  Those who have not experienced a new birth are dead in their trespasses and sins (Ephesians 2:1).  This is why they can’t understand the Truth.  However, when we preach with anointment we direct them to a genuine new life. 

In like manner, those that suffer would experience that the message that Jesus told us to preach has the same power as when He preached.  The same would happen with them when they took the message to other places.  In fact, the Gospel is the power of God wherever it is pronounced.  The God News is powerful from the beginning to the end.  There’s no refusing the only good medicine against evil.

The disciples should give freely what they freely received.  This way they should not have to worry about what they needed to live and carry out their mission, since they were acting according to the divine will, all their needs would be provided for and satisfied.  Do not be afraid that as you speak of Jesus, you might not be understood or the power of God does not honor you.  This is the devil’s lie; just reject this thought.
