To this end I also labor, striving according to His working which works in me mightily. Colossians 1.29

Paul declared that he rejoiced in his suffering for the Church, the Body of Christ, of which he had become a minister. All who have been saved ought to have the same concern, since in such suffering dwells a great blessing that is to accompany us for all eternity. We must not take the revelations we receive loosely. A great reward awaits those who suffer for the Gospel.

As the apostle said, the purpose of the calling he had received was complete fulfillment of the Word of God (v. 24-25). Ours has the same purpose, for we were not called only to enjoy the blessings that we like and stay away from the attacks of the powers of darkness. There is something greater in it, that’s why we ought to do everything that the Word commands us to do.

This servant of the Most High laid out very clearly that the revelation of the Word was the mystery which had been hidden throughout the centuries (v. 26). Jesus said that kings and prophets had longed to see what the eyes of men in His days saw, but were not able to (Luke 10.24). The preaching of this teaching must reach everyone, for wherever Truth is not declared, people are mercilessly stepped on and held captive by the devil. The manifestation of Truth brings hope of freedom to the oppressed.

There are still many in the Gospel who have not learned this truth yet and, thus, fight for the growth of their denominations and churches. Poor lives! These people have not understood that they were saved to bring forth the message that unveils heavenly precepts. Now the sick can be healed, the oppressed can be set free, and eternal salvation has been made available to all. Everyone who despises the Truth will pay a very high price.

We have been given knowledge of the mystery of Christ in us, the hope of glory (Colossians 1.27). Therefore, we will be held accountable for more than what we may realize. Whoever has the revelation but does nothing to share it with the needy heart, not only keeps the divine power from working on their behalf, but also offends the Lord. He commanded us to take the Gospel to the ends of the earth and, in a sense, we are doing nothing. So what do you say?

This revelation brings about perfect growth to all who belong to God. You leave your neighbors out, in darkness, deprived of what the Father can do through them, when you do not present the Truth to them. It is an evil that will cost us considerably and may put us in a dangerous position with the Lord, who paid a high price to free us from the evil one. He did not mind what He was about to suffer, but many are stepping back precisely because of that.

Each one of us should strive according to the mighty working of His mystery in us. See what the Most High has given you, the revelations He has permitted you to receive, and strive according to His working which works in you mightily. This power is already at work in you and, besides working to set the oppressed free of their torments, it will also work to your benefit.

In Christ, with love,

God of revelation! We ought to rejoice just like Paul did because of what he suffered for the Church, for we too are ministers of the Body of Christ. May each and every one of those who belong to You completely fulfill Your Word, which is the mystery hidden throughout the ages.

Many of the people who have converted to Gospel are still fighting on behalf of their own congregations, instead of laboring for the growth of Your work. They are not aware that one day they will be held accountable for everything they did with the revelation of Your mystery.

You have a greater purpose in giving us such understanding, for it is the hope of Your glory. Through it Your sons and daughters will know the Truth and will be able to strive according to Your working which works mightily in each one of them. Thank you, beloved Lord!
