The enemy shall not outwit him, nor the son of wickedness afflict him. Psalm 89.22

When he was very young, the eighth male son of Jesse chose to trust the Lord. That was his best attitude because, besides enjoying all of Gods promises, he became king over Israel. Not a single person who surrenders to the Father’s will shall regret this decision. On the contrary, those who despise God’s invitation or are led astray will eventually regret it. It is very rewarding to be a servant of God.

David was completely surrendered. He would not have been accepted otherwise. Because of his faithfulness to God he was rewarded in the same measure he loved the Lord. He who is loved little, loves little. We prove our love to the Father each day. An attitude of obedience towards Him is a seed that yields a good reward. The right thing to do is to give yourself, body and soul, to the Author of your calling.

That is God’s procedure which enables Him to reward us. David was wise and, because he gave himself over to God, he received the power from Above that worked for him. Jesus has taught us that we are measured by the same measure that we use (Luke 6.38), and it will be returned to us in a good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over.

David’s surrender led the Most High to issue a decree in the spiritual realm saying that the enemy could not bother him. The result? He became the most important king over Israel. Who would not like to have such a decree issued on one’s behalf? This is only possible, though, to those who answer God’s call. Therefore, do His will and you will be treated likewise.

The son of evil was also forbidden from afflicting the Lord’s servant, and He wants to treat you the same way. However, for this to take place, you have to fulfill the mission you were assigned by the Father. Then, you will discover what to do in order for God´s decree concerning you to be issued and respected. Those who do not heed what the Father is saying elect themselves as targets for the evil one.

The only thing you need to do to have the same blessing over your life you is to become part of the New Covenant. Then, as you follow God’s commands, you will see that His power will not leave you. And so, you will walk with your head high and, knowing that the Father is protecting you, your prayers will be answered and nothing good will be kept from you. It is worth it being a servant.

The Holy Covenant will never be undone or broken. That is the best of all. It has been done in the blood of Jesus; therefore, even if we are unfaithful, our God will remain faithful. He cannot deny Himself (2 Timothy 2.13). It is your decision to either wholeheartedly serve the Lord or to continue following men-made rules. The promises of the Almighty will come through. Be always wise and faithful.
