And when the disciples heard it, they fell on their faces and were greatly afraid. But Jesus came and touched them and said, “Arise, and do not be afraid.” Matthew 17.6,7

If we are not well prepared, things that could bring us great benefit could actually be harmful to us. The revelations from God always bless us and never cause any harm. In the verses that we are studying, there is a strange attitude from the three men that were still being trained as disciples. Although they should give us an example of how to proceed in such moments, they were greatly afraid.

Many times, the Lord gives us a revelation, but we become afraid. Now, God would never tell us something that is impossible to happen, nor would He allow us to know about something that did not concern us! Everything that we learn on the divine Word will be of great utility for us. Therefore, never discard the revelations in the Scriptures, for there is a divine purpose on everything that is revealed to us.

We must seek to attend the invitations that the Lord God makes for us to be in His presence. Sometimes, He wakes us up in the middle of the night, and we feel a great urge to pray, but we leave it for later. Then, this urge goes away, and never comes back. If this happens to you, leave your bed right away, wash your face, and go somewhere quiet to pour out your heart alone with God.

Those who have an encounter with the Most High return with solutions to all their problems and for other people’s problems. Those who are visited by the Lord Jesus can understand things that others do not understand. By His revelation, your clothes are whitened, and even more, your heart is whitened! With this cleansing that is done in you, the Holy Spirit can use you more, so that you and your house will be blessed.

Always accept the invitations that the Lord God makes you. Then, you will see that He had a wonderful plan when he called you to have fellowship with Him. Those who have an encounter with the Almighty should not fear what He will minister, for since He is God and Father, He knows all that we need. Even if the glory of His divine presence is too marvelous for you, it will only happen to you according to what is best from the Lord to your life.

Be sober in everything, be watchful, observe and keep what is shown to you. Moses received from God the plan to build the Tabernacle, so he acted according to the model that he received. What the Lord tells you should be like a mockup of the work that He desires you to fulfill. When you fulfill what He tells you, you will receive from the hands of the righteous Judge the proper reward for your obedience.
