29/09/2018 - ALIENATED FROM GOD

having their understanding darkened, being alienated from the life of God, because of the ignorance that is in them, because of the blindness of their heart; Ephesians 4:18

This matter is so serious, that the apostle Paul not only talked about this, but also testified in the Lord, warning the people to no longer walk as the gentiles.  Many of the saved are not attracted to these topics and in this respect they are equal to the lost, for they do not attribute importance to a commandment of the Lord.  As a result, they are drawn into the lowest forms of immorality.  What is life to those who do not know how to value it?  God’s mercy!  Examine yourself now!

The lost are led by the vanity of their thoughts, always seeking novelties and different ways of obtaining pleasure and satisfaction.  This way they displease God completely. It is not wise to do so, for they walk towards destruction and perdition.  It is the task of the saved to show them how to be agreeable in to God, like Jesus who did what was right and healed those that were oppressed by the devil.

You show if you belong to the Lord, do His will and fear Him, by the way you live. Many are just like the Pharisee who gave the tithes of mint, dill and cumin, but disdained what in the law was most important: righteousness, mercy and faith (Matthew 23:23).  According to Jesus, they should do these things but not leave out those. Never enter by the wide gate or walk in the loose way that leads to perdition (Matthew 7:13)!

Since the unbelievers have their understanding obscured, they practice things that sadden the Lord.  Our mission is to give them the light of life; this way, they will see things as they really are.  All sin is iniquity and in the iniquity there is an abysm that draws them away from God and widens each day.  It is sad to say, but those who practice iniquity, although appearing to be successful in faith, will not rise with Jesus (Matthew 7:22,23).

The lost do not walk with God and distance themselves more and more from Him as they increase their own perversion.  Alas, when Jesus comes again will there be time to repent and abandon iniquity? No!  Those who mock divine patience today will certainly cry when they discover that besides not going up with Christ, they will walk to eternal perdition.  Keep watch and pray in order not to be disqualified!

One of the reasons that lead the saved to act like the lost is spiritual ignorance – estrangement from the Truth.  It is not understandable that someone, having tasted of divine mercy, would prefer to emulate the wicked.  In those days, all one could do after having erred was to feel the pain from their misery, the sadness for having been deceived one more time and the uncertainty of where they would spend eternity. Now, having been saved, do you go back to the practice of your previous sins?

When understanding is lacking, the person’s heart is hardened, deprived of the Truth and lives in oppression.  Those who stray from the divine Way lose their sensitivity, and in their hardness of heart, see nothing wrong in doing what the Bible forbids. Poor sad ones! Their works will lead them to the lake of fire and brimstone!

In Christ, with Love,

Lord! Distant from You we walk in darkness.  This way, we are darkened in our understanding.  We want to see Your light, for in this way we will not be separated from You.  Father, we always want to understand Your will!

We cannot live like the other gentiles, removed from You and submitting to the kingdom of evil. We want the Truth, without bending to the powers of the devil, living the Good-News with joy and Your anointment.

Your Word gives us wisdom to serve You with faithfulness and love, bearing good witness to the Truth.  In this way we are bonded to You and by the work of Jesus in our favor we are free to live in redemption.
