I press toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus. Philippians 3.14

We have been called by an upward call from the Creator of all things. He was not joking when he stretched out His hand and, likewise, we should not serve Him jokingly. This has to be done wholeheartedly and with all our might. We should not admit any mistakes even when things seems to be heading that way. Because the wages of all sin is death – Satan’s nature (Romans 6.23a).

We have been called through the Lord Jesus, and so it can never be denied or cancelled. The responsibility of all those who have felt the sweet sin-convincing voice of the Holy Spirit is to keep pressing forward and never turn back. If you have taken a break or you are not consecrating yourself as you should, it is the enemy working to lead you to damnation. Therefore, run back before it is too late.

We cannot focus on what is behind. If you have sinned and confessed your transgression and made right with the person against whom you have wronged, you are free and, therefore, you must accept yourself as you are. When you look back, you are joined with Lot’s wife, a pillar of salt (Genesis 19.26) or of steel. He who acts like her is led astray, being led by the spirit of deceit. Be firm in your decision to belong to Christ, because that is your joy.

Looking to the here and now, to the offers presented to you, will keep you under the control of the enemy. The wide door is made new every day with indecent proposals. His “promoters” are expert in creating misleading situations so that the simple will give them attention. Then, when they are not expecting it, they are hooked by the author of all evil. Allow the fear of the Lord to keep you from wrong. 

In every generation Satan has been successful in his capacity to corrupt and lead people to try “new” things; and, when they do, they are chained to their filthy desires. He has only applied some new paint and color, but they are Satan’s same old way of corrupting the careless. Remain a faithful servant of God and refuse all that comes from the enemy, because he intends to destroy you.

We are to press towards our goal: our salvation. The devil will use all he can to keep you from advancing. Keep your eyes on what God has told you when you made your decision. It was real, it was celebrated in Heaven and made Hell weep for losing you. However, the plans of the evil one for your life are coming to an end. Run back to the Lord, to your first love; it is only there that you will not be lost.

There is a prize stored up for you, do not allow yourself to be enticed by the enemy, do not even listen to him. It was when Eve listened to the evil one that she sinned, because she saw that the tree was good for food, that it was pleasant to the eyes and desirable to make one wise. This is how she led Adam to sin and all human race to suffer the consequences.
