07/05/2018 - AND THEY RECOGNIZED JOSHUA

Now Joshua the son of Nun was full of the spirit of wisdom, for Moses had laid his hands on him; so the children of Israel heeded him, and did as the LORD had commanded Moses. Deuteronomy 34:9

Moses was called to start a mission that the descendants of Jacob did not even suspect would be an indication of the events leading up to the coming of Christ on Earth, when the salvation of Israel and the edification of the Church would occur.  If we do not understand that the work of God is done with the direction of the Holy Spirit, we can build something considered marvelous in the sight of man, but not in the sight of the Almighty.

The key to fulfill a mission for the Lord is to never take your eyes away from the Savior– what He said, taught and did.  To give us the example, the Son of God left His Kingdom of glory, humbled Himself, coming to this world to teach us to do the true work of the Father.  For this reason it is necessary that in each step of the way we are instructed by the Holy Spirit, for in all our actions we carry the Name of Jesus.  We must seek perfection.

Christ was taken by the Spirit to the desert to face Satan and overcome all sorts of temptations.  However, no matter how great His needs were, He did not allow himself to be drawn to the insinuations of the prince of evil.  Jesus left us the example we must follow: defeat the devil in his temptations, by using the Sacred Book. There is only one way not to fall into the traps of the evil one:  believe and declare the Word of God!

There is no justifiable sin; so, if you are committing transgressions and think that your actions are legitimate, confess it to the Lord and follow His direction.  Otherwise, prepare yourself to be ashamed while still on Earth.  Remember: on the judgment Day, the divine justice will be relentless against all transgression. Be responsible and seek forgiveness while the opportunity is at hand.  Free yourself from all sin!

Nobody noticed that Joshua was already full of wisdom.  While Moses still lived, it had not yet been manifested.  However, soon after the death of the deliverer of the Hebrews, the children of Israel saw that the son of Nun was the chosen one to continue the mission.  Everyone could see that the Lord had chosen and prepared Joshua to carry out this noble task.  Those chosen and called by God have to be constantly vigilant, not to fall in dishonor and giving into temptations that may be brought by the demons through the devil´s command.

The separation for the holy mission and the resulting anointment of Joshua occurred when Moses laid his hands on Joshua by heavenly orders.  When the holy man of God left for the eternal home, the people were not disappointed, even those that wanted the honor of that position, bowed before the choice of the Almighty.  This in fact is what happens today; for it is not possible for anyone to prepare their true successor, unless by the will of the Lord.

There would have been chaos, if any other not appointed by God had risen to challenge the leadership of those people; for, without divine anointment, his best would be  like filthy rags. The choice of a successor cannot be the results of negotiations, deals, and reasoning.

In Christ, with love,

Lord of the Church! It is sad to know that in some places, there are those who compete to direct Your work, and often times, for futile motives or even diabolical schemes. How could anyone be political to try to be the chosen one, if the mission is Yours and You give no one the power to act in this way?

You appoint, lift or remove, because You are Omniscient.  When man tries every way to show that he has Your direction, he does not know what he says or does. He does not realize or perceive that he is being used by the enemy, who undoubtedly will destroy him. Mercy!

The people saw Your approval and subsequently how right it was to follow Your decision.  In Your way, there is everything that the Church needs, but in man’s way, there is what the devil desires to destroy a ministry of Your true Church.  To You be the glory!
