Again, the kingdom of heaven is like a dragnet that was cast into the sea and gathered some of every kind, which, when it was full, they drew to shore; and they sat down and gathered the good into vessels, but threw the bad away. So it will be at the end of the age. The angels will come forth, separate the wicked from among the just. Matthew 13.47-49

There are many things that we do and use that have great importance in teaching us to understand the Truth. One of them is fishing with a net, as Jesus taught. According to Jesus, our work of evangelizing brings a multitude of people to church. But if these people are not transformed from their evil nature, in the end of times they will be cast away from the Kingdom of God. You should be careful with what you do, for this sentence is certain.

The Message is like a net that catches every type and quality of fish. Sometimes, we hear about Christians that do terrible things, things that only the wicked dare to do. These people are completely deceived. They can fool the pastor, the sheep, but will not manage to do so with the angels of God. The Lord warned that he will not take the net full of fish to heaven, but only the good ones.

There are other Biblical passages that Jesus talks about this subject, using different words and comparisons. In one of them, He warned that everyone who causes scandals will not be admitted into His Kingdom, but that they will be cast in the everlasting fire, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth (Mt 18.7-9). This was not taught by a radical preacher, but by the One who is gentle and humble in heart, who knows all and is God himself (Mt 11.28, 29).

Some people say that since the Lord is very good, he will not cast anyone away. However, those who think in such a way believe that He will be good to those who were not converted, who were subject to temptations, harmed their neighbors, caused many scandals, and stopped many from knowing eternal life.

If the warnings given by Jesus do not have the same weight that He gave them, how can we believe that his promises will be fulfilled? If Christ demands that we walk in a manner that is worthy of our calling, we cannot believe that He will close His eyes to the wrongdoings that we commit. The truth is that the judgment will be without mercy, and for that reason, we must resist to every temptation so that we are not surprised in the Last Day.

Why should you believe in what was not promised? The best thing to do is to be prepared now, so that you are not disqualified in the Great Day. This is the best moment for you to draw near to the Lord and obtain the divine favor to change your life completely and forever.

In Christ, with love,
