My eye wastes away because of grief; it grows old because of all my enemies. Psalm 6.7

Grief is very dangerous to our souls. Although it may seem unimportant, grief makes us drift away from the Lord. And, once we are far from the Source of Life, we will walk straight into the slaughter house, like silent lambs. An old, weary vision does not see danger lurking around, thus bringing us closer to the enemy; then he steps in, influencing our thoughts and telling us how to act. 

Grief hinders our ability to see God’s plan. We become blind. We want to change, but nothing happens. We make a mistake and we acknowledge it; we pray for a change; we decide to stop doing that which God says it is a sin. But then temptation comes, and there we are again: rolling in mire, acting as the wicked.

If we allow grief to enter our hearts, our adversaries will approach us in the blink of an eye, so fast that we will not have time to say no. Then we will feel completely miserable. If our souls are taken over by this bad feeling, we will not be able to say no to the charm that the devil makes us see. But what we need to see is what the Holy Spirit shows us.

With enemies surrounding and tempting us, our vision is not renewed, therefore we do not understand what is really happening around us. The result is that we are not able to perceive the devil approaching us, we do not perceive his words, nor his strategy; to make things worse, we fail to see what the Most High is showing us. It is necessary that we resist Satan’s attempts to lure us, so that we do not stumble in our walk.

As you are a new creation, you must not allow the old things to control you. When someone does you harm and your soul is filled with grief, do not believe in the lies of the devil; rather, stand firm and pray to the Lord. Ask him to help you not allow anything from the devil to enter and take over your life. The closer you get to Jesus, the closer he will get to you.

Get rid of all grief and you will find that your vision will be continually renewed. Do not pay attention to what the enemy says, nor allow him to influence you through his filthy plans and things he shows you, because everything that comes from him is worthless. On the other hand, without reservations, surrender yourself to the Father, seeking his face and enjoying his love. 

Those who walk with the Lord will always be honored and successful. If you have a clean heart, the Almighty will dwell in it, and all grief, frustration, and other bad feelings will disappear from your soul. With Jesus, your life will be full of accomplishments. Do not let the devil have the pleasure of taking you into his hands.
