I will extol You, O LORD, for You have lifted me up, and have not let my foes rejoice over me.

Psalm 30:1

Through this psalm, David was used by God to teach wonderful lessons to us, and especially to all the oppressed ones. Get ready to extol the Lord! Those who trust in Him will be lifted up over their enemies. So do not be intimidated in the face of a crisis that might be afflicting your life; after all, the Almighty will keep you safe from all the fiery darts of the devil.

What the Lord has revealed to you through His Word is what you need in order to overcome the onslaughts of Hell. If you take hold of such revelations, they will free you completely because they have the power to make you stronger than any evil action. Through them, you will be lifted up far above the purpose of the kingdom of darkness. Thus, there is no reason for you to fear the threats of the evil one.

When you are lifted up, the light that will shine in you and through you will turn whatever seems to be your destruction into a springboard that will make you achieve even higher positions. God would never allow any temptation to come upon your life to make you feel smaller or less powerful. As in the past – when he who won battles was left with the spoil – the same will happen to you after going through an ordeal.

It is a mistake to yield to temptations and do what the Word condemns. Regardless of what is tempting you, be firm and go into battle, knowing that in all things you shall be more than a conqueror (Romans 8:37). The adversary cannot attack you if you resist him based on God’s teachings. Within the Word there is power in abundance to rid you of the enemy.

Your exaltation is a fact. When He ascended on high, He led captivity captive, and gave gifts to men (Ephesians 4:8). So, the authority that Satan exercised over your life has ended and now you have the power over the works of evil. So stand firm on your position of authority in Christ and do not let the devil prevail against your life. Use the name of Jesus to rebuke everything that torments you.

Our battles are God’s battles. The psalmist found out that the Lord will not let the enemy overwhelm those who are His. The divine power is on your side right now, waiting for your order for Satan to fall to the ground.

David says that God does not let the enemy triumph over those who serve Him wholeheartedly. So be firm and fearless and do not bow before any threat of hell, because the Most High will make you victorious over all the oppressions that surround you. With him, you will never be defeated!
