13/02/2016 - BE YOUR OWN JUDGE

For by your words you will be justified, and by your words you will be condemned.  Matthew 12:37

Those who want to live well without being tormented by any evil during their journey on Earth, and not have to give account of the wrong things they spoke or did during Judgment, must be careful with what they speak. Actually, “For out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks” (Matthew 12:34b). That is why we always have to place a good “raw material” inside ourselves, so that the “production” may always be tops. We can never transgress.

The revelation of Jesus concerning the words is fundamental, for they will make us be blessed or condemned. It is important because of the fact that we can avoid condemnation, and at the same time, attract good things to us. This works in all areas of life. Therefore, never use your lips to condemn someone or even curse them, so that you too will not be condemned.

Dominating what comes out from our mouth must be a continuous exercise; thus, we avoid speaking contrary to what God has said. Therefore, we don’t give the enemy the possibility of attacking us. Those who don’t wish to be locked up by any evil work must speak only what is productive and healthy. Never speak out filthy language, unless you want to face serious problems.

What we have is the result of what we have spoken and most assuredly, what we say today is what we will live in a near future. If this is how it works, than we are the only ones responsible for what happens to us. Get used to living according to the Scriptures, and then, you will see that God has become Your friend. However, if you speak opposite to what is written, you will discover that you have given the devil the lordship over your life.

The Lord knows very well the power of the words. It was with them that He created all things out of nothing (Genesis 1:3), and because we are His image and likeness, we too can also create good things or bad, depending on what we speak (James 3:8-10). All people should get to know the Truth. Only this way they would live free from the enemy´s power. No one can live free from the evil oppressions if they disrespect the Creator with what they speak.

David learned to use the tongue as pen of a ready writer (Psalm 45:1). Thus, he was able to defeat his enemies. He conquered many victories for him and his people by the confession he made before the onslaughts of the evil one. Therefore, he never submitted himself to any kind of oppression; and when he committed a sin, he used his words to confess his error and receive divine forgiveness. Do this and you will obtain the same result.

Words must be used to express the Truth, to extol the Most High and walk on the path the Bible shows you. Then, in a blink of an eye, you will succeed. That is why you must never give your heart to sorrow, hatred or any other sin, for your mouth will speak of what is in you.

In Christ, with love,

Lord, our Example! Once we are created in Your image and likeness, we can do how You have done and taught us. That is why we need to know Your Book, so that we don’t act outside from the Truth.

Now, we learn to be justified or condemned. Since we will never wish for condemnation, we have to control what comes out from our mouth, so that we don’t go down with this. Lord, help us please!

We have confessed the cause for several evils that attack us, and because of that we ask for Your forgiveness. Besides this, give us strength and wisdom so that we don’t transgress, for we wish to live in a righteous and blameless way, speaking things that suit the sound doctrine.
