Jesus said to her, “Did I not say to you that if you would believe you would see the glory of God?” John 11:40

The Lord would never say something to you if it weren’t 100% true. When He says something that doesn’t seem to come from Him at first, don’t throw it away, because in the future it will be useful to obtain the divine favor. This happened to Martha, Lazarus’ sister, after he passed away. The Lord remembered Martha of what He had said to her.

We have a mission: to see the glory of God, which is available to all who believe in what He says. Martha was always worried about earthly things. While Mary was kneeling down before her master to learn the truth, Martha was working thoroughly. When Jesus told them to remove the stone so that He could operate the miracle, they told Him that there was a bad odor already (Jo. 11:39).

There are many “Marthas” in our days involved in the church. These people worry about what they will eat and how they will dress, where they will live, the future their family will have, what is other people’s opinion about them or even about some sin they have committed. Be careful! There is nothing more important than fulfilling what the Lord most high tells us to do. This is fundamental!

If Christ ordered them to remove the stone, why should we worry about telling Him – who knows everything – that there was a bad odor already? Why should we remind the Lord that it’s not possible to serve Him in a specific place if that’s exactly where He wants us to be? Don’t be fooled by the enemy’s lies, because God has something great to do in your life wherever He has sent you. To stop trusting His wisdom is to commit a huge mistake.

The good thing is that the Lord isn’t fooled by our advices. The best thing is to never try to give the Lord any advices. When He speaks to you, just confess what He has spoken. When Peter wanted to give counsels to Jesus, the Lord rebuked him, and called him Satan (Mk. 8:31-33). The apostle allowed himself to be used by the enemy, and decided to give counsels to his Master.

One of the main goals of your life should be to see the glory of God. Observe everything He teaches you, and at the right moment, believe the Father even if everything is against you. When the divine glory is manifested in your life, you will see that the enemy’s lies can’t go against such greatness.

When he came back to life, Lazarus had no bad odors and didn’t suffer from what killed him anymore. The divine glory knows how to execute a miracle perfectly, with all the capacity from the Lord. You were chosen to believe and to take part in the glory of the Almighty God!
