He who believes in Me, as the Scripture has said, out of his heart will flow rivers of living water. John 7.38

When we believe in the Lord Jesus for real, we show it through the way we live. To believe in the Son of God is what makes us different from others. Those who have faith in Christ show it by living their lives with joy and courage, and by being ready to use the power of the Almighty God to help those who are broken. As a result, they are used by the Father to save people who are lost, to cast out demons and to heal the sick. They are called ambassadors of God.

The Lord does not favor his children, but a man stands out by his practicing of the Word of God. Those who seek the glory of others—instead of the glory of God—have no chance of believing for real in the Mighty One. But he who makes the will of the Lord a priority in his life receives the ability to truly believe in the Savior. Then, overcoming the power of hell, he defeats each and every attack of the devil.

The most important thing that can happen in someone’s life is to hear the good news of what Jesus accomplished on Calvary on our behalf, because the preaching of the gospel gives everyone the opportunity to believe in Christ. When a person listens to the preaching of the gospel, he acquires the ability to use the Name of Jesus against any evil surrounding him, and when he ordains something he is able to believe that it will be done.

However, those who reject what the Word of God speaks to them are not able to trust in the fact that they can avoid the traps of the devil. When a person believes in the message of redemption, he is brought out of the kingdom of darkness and into the kingdom of light. Then he feels the confirmation that he is now part of God’s family, and with the presence of the Holy Spirit, he is able to reverse even the worst diagnosis.

What shows that a person believes for real in Jesus is that out of his heart will flow rivers of living water. This is why talking to someone who belongs to the Lord is so pleasant and important. Servants of God always have a positive word for difficult moments, strengthening us and helping us continue our fight to win victory. But the words spoken by those who are religious but do not have rivers of living water flowing out of their hearts lead to more evil than good.

Lastly, we must always remember the words of the Lord: He who believes [in the gospel] and is baptized will be saved (Mark 16.16a). So, it is not enough to be a member of the best church in the city, be an educated person, dedicated to the church and nice to the pastor. What really matters is if you believe for real in the good news concerning Jesus. If no rivers of living water flow out of your heart, you need to undergo a process of conversion.
