08/11/2016 - BLESSING AND CURSE IN THE LAND OF PROMISE

Behold, I set before you today a blessing and a curse. Deuteronomy 11.26

Our daily choices prove if we have done well or if we have been deceived by the devil, for the results show whom we have served. It is not good to obey he who has an evil character, speaks lies, whose nature is harmful and pernicious in all ways. Satan hates man due to a simple reason: the human being is the image and likeness of God. Therefore, he does all he can to destroy us. Never give your word to the enemy.

The truth is that we do not find rational people choosing the curse, but if you see the way how they live, you will notice that many of them have made this choice without knowing. The Bible affirms that whoever commits sin is a slave of sin (Jo 8.34). If you obey the enemy in a temptation, you will only be able to set yourself free from the trap if you truly repent. Always choose to serve the Lord, who is good.

The standard by which we should live can be found in the prayer that Jesus taught us, so that the divine will should be done on Earth as it is in Heaven. Certainly, in Heaven there is no one that is lame, limping, wearing glasses or crying out with pain. God desires a life free of these problems for all who are invited to fulfill His plan. You must only pray and believe that the Lord has already provided you an abundant life.

The choice of being blessed or cursed is up to each one of us. We have the option to decide what we will have. Certainly, everyone will say that they want to live well, be blessed, and stand away from demons. However, he who loves something wrong and desires to commit something unlawful is already in sin. Even if he confesses and desires the blessing, he will always be far from it, for the Lord’s gifts do not come to those who do not serve Him.

If you decide yourself for the Lord’s blessings, you receive the full package. However, if you despise it´s Author and accept the evil one’s offer, you will lose everything. Walking by faith is like riding a bicycle: if you stop, you will have to come down. Those who choose the curse receive it all, including a complete separation from the Lord. But why should someone be so foolish to love the curse, opening themselves for the devil to work in them?

The choice is definitive. However, if someone embraces the curse and feels that they have done wrong, if there is still time, they may return to God. But be careful! Do not wish to be in the hands of the enemy not even for a minute, because since he is evil, he may finish with your life in a second, and you will never be able to repent. Even if he is not able to do so, the sequels that he will leave in your life will be lasting and very painful.

Those who choose the blessing must seek God and always seek to improve, for if they live better, they will be more blessed. The Lord is so good; He surprises us with His blessed offers. Whoever walks with Him is never visited or oppressed by any evil force, unless they allow it to come.
