09/12/2017 - CAST AWAY FOR THEIR TRANSGRESSION

If your sons have sinned against Him, He has cast them away for their transgression. Job 8:4

Our children must know that God does not have grandchildren, and therefore, they must be serious about fearing God and fleeing temptation. They cannot think that since their parents fear the Most High, they are protected from evil and free to do as they wish. Here is the truth: the soul that sins will die (Ezekiel 18:20). This decree tells us that each of us will be accountable for himself to God. It is good that we all prepare ourselves.

It is advantageous to be part of a family where the parents fear the Lord, but at the same time, the responsibility is greater. Those who belong to a family where the Lord is respected cannot let the devil make any single one of them go astray. Those who are saved and their descendants must live according to the Biblical faith, striving to improve more and more. Children must love God in the same way, or if possible, even more than their parents do.

Aaron, Moses’ brother, was the spokesman used by the Lord to retrieve the Hebrews from Egypt and lead them to Canaan. The people had the best examples that it is possible to live by faith, not being part of other people’s mistakes. However, when the devil tempted the sons of Aaron, they offered profane fire in the Omnipotent’s altar, and so they fell down dead. The love that their father had for the Lord did not exempt them (Leviticus 10:1,2).

It seems like this story did not serve as an example for the children of Eli, the priest that raised Samuel. These young men fell into temptation and were seduced by women filled with sins. They also abused the offers that were given to God, according to the costumes at the time. Due to their evil practices, they were killed. They could have been mentioned as servants of God, but they were slaves to sin (1 Samuel 2:12-17; 22-25).

The Lord warns us severely that if any of the children of His servants – whether a member or a leader of the church – sin, they will be cast away in their transgression. The demon who tempted them will receive them to do what they desire with their evil intentions. Therefore, consider yourself warned and do not fall in any temptation sent from Hell.

Those who accept the devil’s offers will be cast away by the Lord, and the evil will do them harm. Jesus said that Satan came only to kill, steal, and destroy (John 10:10a). It is terrible to commit yourself to the devil, because if he can act against someone, he will do a lot of evil, because he is merciless. Job was righteous, but he saw his children be destroyed. The same will happen to the parents of kids who are rebellious and lost.

On the other hand, it is great to always be in the hands of the Most High, for He is perfect and good (Psalm 118:1). He will never reject those who seek Him with their heart (Jeremiah 29:13). If you persevere in seeking God, you will see that you made the right decision. With Jesus, there is life, a more abundant life (John 10:10b). Isn’t it time for you to make things right with the Lord?

In Christ, with love,

Lord, who rewards us! Your servants will never be put to shame, for there is no way the enemy can seduce those who are with You. Help us so we never let sin attract and subdue us. We pray for the salvation of the members of our family.

Many people who pray with me now are aware that their children do not seek You. Give them fear, so that they are not lost or in suffering for all eternity. Our hope is that they might reach the full knowledge of the Truth.

May they never fall into any mistake. But if that happens, may them be able to repent and return to a life with communion with You before any final sentence is made against them. We do not want to see them being cast away for their transgression. Thank You for helping us.
