My dear children, for whom I am again in the pains of childbirth until Christ is formed in you... Galatians 4:19

The tender treatment is the mark of someone who genuinely loves. It´s difficult to understand some brethren in faith that do not show kindness towards everyone and especially to those who belong to the family of believers (Galatians 6:10). The world needs to see in us the same attitude they saw in the Son of God. Then, the ungodly will know that we have also walked with the Nazarene. He who has not been with the Savior cannot speak of His love, because he doesn’t know Him (1 John 4:8).

Paul felt the labor pains when conducting the Galatians to Christ. This must be the tenderness all evangelists must have towards the lost ones. How many millions of people live imprisoned on wrongdoings? These people are important to the Kingdom of God; for once they are saved and cleansed from their sins they will be examples to those who still haven’t been reached. The Gospel must be taken to all people.

While our spiritual children have not completed themselves in the process of salvation, we will need to strive to feel these labor pains as many times necessary, so that we will not have worked in vain. God has given us the mission of making disciples, men and women that have Christ formed in them and that are not ashamed of the Lord in anything – true conquerors on the work and seeking and saving the lost (Like 19:10).

Christ must be formed in us; otherwise we will have lost time in doing what we thought was divine will. If a brother fails to reach the whole measure of the fullness of Christ (Ephesians 4:13), he will not receive the complete revelation from the Savior. Therefore, he might be used by the devil to embarrass the work of God. Such a person is a potential danger against our faith (Matthew 18:17). Consequently, it is necessary to fight for those who have received the new birth be complete in faith.

If we don’t have the same feelings that dwelled in the Lord Jesus, we will miss the target of our mission. We are not gatherers of members to show that our church is the biggest one in town, that our denomination is the most famous or that our temples are the prettiest ones. We need to surrender ourselves to the Almighty and take the revelation of the Word to all those who are lost. Otherwise, the work of the Lord will not be done.

We have to be zealous in fulfilling our call to the Gospel. It´s not possible that we are servants of God and act like slaves of the enemy. Those who treat God´s people with brutality are not being used by the Holy Spirit. Only those who let themselves be guided by divine love can build a people for the Lord. The Gospel does not resemble in any way whatsoever to soccer clubs, who make a tremendous noise along with its fans.

We are building lives. We have to give our very best so that these people learn to serve the Omnipotent. If we are not zealous, we will not serve Jesus properly. Allow the Holy Spirit to use you according to the model shown by Christ in His ministry here on Earth. Live and work so that God may be glorified in you.

In Christ, with Love,

R. R. Soares

Father of Love! We have been called to be ministers of Your Word, and therefore we must imitate Jesus, who gave us the example of how we must teach, preach and use Your power. Help us feel the labor pain that Paul felt.

Our goal is to see Christ formed in people. This way, while there is only one of Your children who is still incomplete in faith, we will not have fulfilled Your will. May we understand the essential: collaborate so that everyone develops salvation.

When we have a mature church, full of members that know the position they have in Your Son, and with love and dedication lead the lost to salvation, then we will have fulfilled the orders you have given us. May your Spirit help us in this task!
