As cold water to a weary soul, so is good news from a far country. Proverbs 25:25

It is impressive how the Word of God when revealed, fits perfectly with our needs. Its benefit for the soul is compared to the effect of cold water to the weary. A cup of water is very helpful to restore physical weariness. However, if besides drinking cold water, a person takes a shower, he will see that his weariness almost disappears, and strength reappears. When we deliver the revelation that comes from the Father, and people pay attention to it, we see this happening in their lives.

The Lord Jesus did not tell us to preach the Gospel, the Good News, without a purpose. The divine message comes from a distant country – Heaven. Everyone who had the opportunity of hearing it from anointed lips knows that it comes from God. The message that comes from the Lord reaches man in his needs, and at the same time, the Holy Spirit’s testimony confirms its authenticity.

The Church would do very well in ceasing to preach carnal doctrines. These should not be conveyed to the people, for they do not come from illuminated hearts, even though they might be well intentioned. On the other hand, help from man will always be vain and unproductive, so it should be left aside. Even worse is when a “revelation” was originated in hell. May the Lord help you to speak the truth always.

Never forget that you are responsible for what you say. In your eagerness to do God’s work, be careful to transmit to the people what you have listened from the Most High. After all, you will have to be accountable to God in case someone takes a decision that you have taught them without biblical basis. The Word affirms clearly that whoever adds anything to the revelation, or takes anything from it, will suffer eternal loss (Proverbs. 30:6).

Jesus affirmed that whoever gives one of His little ones only a cup of cold water will be rewarded (Matthew. 10:42). If you do not understand the revelation fully, speak only of what was ministered to you. If anyone is refreshed by only a cup of fresh water that you give, your reward (your prize) will already be guaranteed. However, take care so that this water comes from Heaven, straight from the Father’s heart.

There are millions needing to hear the Good News. These people need to find the Author and Finisher of our faith (Hebrews. 12:2). If you do as you are told, they will find rest, as promised by the Lord Jesus (Matthew. 11:28; Hebrews. 4:9), and you will complete your mission as a son of God. Today, now, is your time to decide! Will you allow that someone passes by you without having an encounter with Christ? The salvation of many people depends on you!
