Mankind needs to worship God, for its own sake. Our whole being must be involved in worshipping the Lord in spirit and in truth, for the Father seeks people who act in such a way (Jo 4.24). He gives the conditions for us to worship Him. Though our words might be beautiful, if they do not come from the Lord, they will be a waste of time. Any action that comes from us without the divine anointing will not be accepted by Him (1 Cr 29.14b).

If we do not experience the presence of God at home, in our work, at school, or anywhere else, we will not experience it at Church. Then, we can conclude without being afraid of being wrong that if we do not act in such a way, we are not firm in the faith in Jesus. The Most High is everywhere, and He shows Himself to all that are willing to do His will. To honor God only with your lips is useless, and in some cases, can even bring the divine wrath.

In my youth, I sought to be in the presence of the Father. In fact, I would pay any price to do so. When I prayed, I did not want that moment to end. In those days, I used to work selling clothes, and would go to São Paulo every week to buy some materials. Whenever the bus stopped, the driver determined an interval time until the next departure, and instead of eating or having a break, I used to leave the place and pray during that period.

Those who wish to learn how to pray must start exercising as soon as possible. In the beginning, your prayer can be something timid, but in due time it will become a habit. We can say that worship is also like the shining sun that shines ever brighter unto the perfect day (Pv 4.18). After a person feels the divine presence, it desires to feel it once again. Then, it is only necessary to start seeking again, and soon this person will be in communion with God.

One of the best ways of worship is to honor the Lord. Those who are always with beautiful words in their hearts, but do not run away from sin, will not be accepted as worshippers of the Father. Only those who do it in spirit and in truth will truly be accepted in their worship. Those who honor the Father in all things and are capable to lose anything for His sake will enjoy the privilege of worshiping the Most High.

We must worship the Lord for everything that He is, and our words must express what is in our hearts. If we let ourselves be led by an improper proposal of the devil, when we are in midst of the people of God and everyone is worshiping Him, we will feel nothing at all. It is fundamental that we honor the heavenly Father. 

Learn to live as a servant of the Most High. Why should you let yourself be corrupted by the spirit of deceit? If necessary, lose whatever it is so that your salvation is left untouched. What God has prepared for His people will come true if they are not corrupted by Satan’s deceptions. My prayer is: May God find you as a true worshipper!
