Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will by no means pass away. Matthew 24.35

Never fall into the temptation of considering that the word that stuck out to your eyes in Scriptures cannot be fulfilled. If this happens, it will be only because of you. When the Lord opens our understanding for something written in the Bible, this starts belonging to us. We can take hold of everything that has been revealed to us by faith. As soon as He reveals us something, it is our responsibility to make it happen.

We know many people that believed in the Lord and did not fail, though the circumstances showed that victory was impossible. This shows that the servants of God should not be guided by sight, but by the voice of the Lord. When He gives us a word, we only have to act according to it, and He will go ahead of us to make the work happen. He who fulfills the commandment will never be put to shame or defeated.

How could David offer himself to fight against a giant? This was only possible because he was a man according to God’s heart (Ac 13.22). The world thought David was too young, but he knew the Omnipotent and was aware that the battle would not be his, but the Lord’s. As for the Israelites, they seemed not to know this. The person who lives in the Word has an understanding that others do not possess. It is so because the Lord acts in this person’s life.

Another example is Gideon. When he had the understanding that God was calling him to deliver Israel from the hands of the Midianites, the multitude that heard the prophet did not pay attention. The people expected that the prophet sent by the Lord would have something mysterious to announce. However, Gideon understood, through that word, that he was that man. Those who listen to the Most High do not need to consult anyone. Thus, Gideon delivered his people (Jd 6 and 7).

The word that God has given you will by no means pass away, even if heavens and earth may pass. Do not be a fool by refusing what He proposes you, for He will do the work Himself. Even though the challenge might be great, the Lord goes ahead of those who listen to Him. He opens the right doors and tears down the walls that try to hinder you from going forwards. Therefore, do not be afraid, for the Lord is your victory.

Understand well that God does not allow a word from His mouth to be defeated. If this happened, what would be of His honor? Jesus even admitted that the heavens and the earth would pass away, and in fact, there will be new heavens and a new earth, but concerning His Word, whatever He says will happen integrally. God only needs someone who believes in Him.

Do not cease to believe in what the All-Powerful says. When you read the Bible, or listen to a sermon, always pay attention to what will be ministered, for it is the voice of the Lord delivering you a promise and a commandment at the same time. The Father does not speak for no reason. Therefore, when you understand His will, start fulfilling it.
