29/10/2016 - DELIVERANCE FROM OPPRESSION

So Jehoahaz pleaded with the Lord, and the Lord listened to him; for He saw the oppression of Israel, because the king of Syria oppressed them.  2 Kings 13.4

In the New King James Version, the translator properly explained what happened in Hell, when Jesus dethroned Satan and his princes from the power of oppressing us. He broke the staff of the wicked and the scepter of the rulers (Is 14.5). Now, the devil does not have power any longer to oppress you or make you suffer. If he tempts you and you assume the authority that Jesus has given you, the evil one will not be able to oppress you any longer.

The principalities and powers of darkness of this age and all the evil spiritual hosts do not have access to hurt you as they did before. Christ broke the staff that they used to oppress humanity. Since the doors that He closes no one can open, we can say that the staff that He breaks cannot be fixed (Rev 3.7). The Lord is an expert in all that He does, and therefore there is no way to fix the broken staff.

Now, those who accept Jesus are delivered from oppression and no longer need to fear anything, for they have been confirmed through His righteousness. The saved have been transported to the Kingdom of God and are held secure. Thus, even if the enemy may rise with all his strength to hurt them, he will not be successful, for around the children of the Most High there is a wall of fire that protects them from all demons (Zechariah 2.5).

We have been set free from the evil of darkness when Jesus defeated Satan and all his demons in their own house. This is one of the reasons why we should preach the Gospel to all people. We must not speak good or bad things about any religion – only about what the Word of God says about us. Everyone who believes in the Savior is freed from the enemy’s attacks. Therefore, we must announce this news to the lost.

The situation of those who do not yet serve God is sad. In fact, we can insert on this list even some members of our churches, who have not yet learned that if they are in Christ, they do not need to be subject to Satan’s lies any longer. There is no better and more important work than sharing the Truth with the lost. When we talk about the work that Jesus did in humanity’s favor, we make the Lord glad and ready to operate.

If you are saved, do not give in to what the devil says. The enemy can no longer subdue you. However, if you do not yet know your rights in Christ, the evil one will insist in attacking you, because for him, all that matters is doing evil. Now those who are firm on the Word of God rise in the Name of Lord in the first sign of the enemy’s attack, and defeat them completely. If those who are firm in Jesus act in such a way, they will make the enemy think a thousand times before trying to attack again.

Before being defeated by Christ and having his authority taken away, the devil acted with full power, dominating humanity with a ruthless persecution. However, in our days, since we have been set free by the Lord, we should not submit to any of its evil. When we feel the wicked action, we must calmly disregard it.
