Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven. Matthew 7.21

When we look at the declarations made in the Word of God, we obtain the necessary light. Many people will be disappointed at the last day, because they simply did not do the will of our Father. And what is God’s will for your life? Surely you know it since the day you accepted Jesus as your Savior. However, the devil has worked to prevent you from fulfilling God’s will, always trying to remove you from the kingdom of heaven.

It is not enough to be a “worshipper,” a person who becomes emotional when hymns are sang at the church, is always praying out loud, driving out demons or prophesying. God’s purpose is revealed to all those who, when they hear the preaching of the Scriptures, understand that they need salvation and accept Jesus as Lord and Savior. From that moment on, every time they hear (or read) the Word of God they know exactly what the Lord has commanded them to do.

In his statement—in the verse which we are studying today—Jesus says straightforwardly that not everyone who recognizes him as Lord will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only those who do the will of his Father. This is very serious, brethren! If you do not do God’s will, your entrance in the kingdom of heaven may be denied. Note that, in this context, the Teacher is not referring to sins; rather, he is saying that a person who fails to do the will of God will not enter the kingdom of heaven.

There is something simple that the devil has been doing to remove a person from eternal bliss: make him believe that there are more important things to be accomplished in life, such as pursuing professional success, desiring a person who is not his spouse, being fascinated by wealth, and other worldly things. If one of these things are preventing you from doing God’s will, take heed to Jesus’ warning.

Anything that stands on your way preventing you from fulfilling the mission you were entrusted with must be cast out of your life as soon as possible, otherwise you will be walking towards perdition. In this case, your prayer has to be similar to the one you would do if you had been stricken by an incurable illness and the doctor said you had two months to live. Do not play around nor be complacent with something that will destroy you forever.

The kingdom of happiness is reserved to those who are determined to win at any cost. Cowards will never be admitted into such kingdom. Do not allow anything to hinder your entrance in heaven. The Lord Jesus is preparing a place for you, but first you need to get rid of whatever is preventing you from accomplishing your mission.

Those who are weak will never get there; neither will those who have surrendered themselves to sin. Those who fail to give away everything they have cannot do God’s will. Therefore, get rid of everything that tempts you, confess your sins and start to obey the Lord’s commandments today. Do not allow your place to remain forever empty.

In Christ, with love,

R. R. Soares

Good and gracious Father, your Word admonishes us, and this is a very clear warning. I do not want to be denied entry into your kingdom, therefore I need to prepare myself so that I am not disqualified for the life that Jesus, through his own blood, qualified me for.

May I and my brothers and sisters be noble enough not to sell anyone the right to enter the Glory. Obviously, no one wants to be lost, but unfortunately many people fail to listen to what you say, and because of that they will be lost forever.

Help us, Father, not to exchange our eternal place, which is being prepared by Christ, for the eternal suffering that awaits the rebels, cowards and lovers of deceitfulness. May the destination of all my readers be your kingdom of light and glory. Thank you and amen!
