20/10/2017 - DESPERATE, BUT NOT CONVINCED!

Our livestock also shall go with us; not a hoof shall be left behind. For we must take some of them to serve the LORD our God, and even we do not know with what we must serve the LORD until we arrive there. Exodus 10:26

The plague of darkness caught Pharaoh by surprise. When he realized it, he couldn’t see anything because darkness was so thick, that it was possible to touch it. Never has anything similar been heard of: people would breathe and at the same time, touch the layer of darkness that was around them. It was really frightening and with no explanation. What God will do in favor of His people is greater than people think.

For three days the Egyptians could not get out of where they were. Did the authorities manage to fulfill their duties in the palace of the king and in the other offices of the nation? According to the Bible, we can understand that the people were not able to leave the places where they were not even to eat. Just imagine the little children, who needed to change their clothes, and what about those who were frightened with that scenario and felt sick! What happened in that place was very serious!

Although chaos had taken over the country, in Goshen, where the Israelites lived, there was no sign of darkness. Light was present in the houses of the people of God. The Lord can make such a difference in favor of His! Have we understood that because we are members of the Body of Christ, we have the right to be treated this well too? Now, don’t accept any suffering, because once you belong to Christ, you are free from any evil. Halleluiah!

This phenomenon that terrified Egypt did not hit one single member of the Lord´s people. That´s why I insist on saying that we have the right to not accept anything that the devil tries to put upon us. Even if everyone is in danger, we cannot allow this to happen to us; after all, the Almighty says there has to be a difference between us and those that are lost. Therefore, remain steadfast!

A ruler with evil in his heart can cause the entire nation to suffer; however, a person who is obedient to the Lord´s voice, whose life is dominated by love, will make their land, or their family, be blessed. Without a doubt, those who answer the heavenly Father´s calling and put it into practice will experience the divine favor working in their life. In the letter to the church in Ephesus, the Lord commended the people of that place for hating the deeds of the Nicolaitans, just like He did (Revelation 2:6).

Those who are saved need to cry out, in order for God´s justice to come into action, because the difference must always be seen. On that day, the Most High decided that darkness would not cross the line that separated the region of Goshen and the rest of Egypt. This serves us as a warning, because, once we are children of the light, we cannot be involved by the forces of evil. No matter what the affliction is, it cannot transcend our territory.

We still haven´t come to where we are suppose to be, that´s why we have to stay alert and not allow evil to touch us. The anointing of the Lord must accompany us, as well as His commandments. What has been revealed to us cannot be despised.

In Christ, with love,

Sovereign God! Thank You for revealing what we must do and for guiding us not to give up on what is ours. Abraham´s descendants did not know they would have to go through so much in order to conquer freedom, but no evil came upon them.

Just like You tamed Pharaoh, who, in the end, had to allow Your people to leave the house of sin, You will win the forces of evil that prevent us from living in holiness and the fulfillment of Your promises. Thus, we will give You praise!

Who can measure strength with You, Lord, since You are Almighty? Help us to understand how much we can gain by being in Jesus and Him in us. During our moments of weakness, You are our strength!
