Thus says the Lord: “What injustice have your fathers found in Me, that they have gone far from Me, have followed idols, and have become idolaters?”  Jeremiah 2.5

The Creator did not give up on humanity after Adam sinned and the devil became man’s governor. Since God did not create man without a purpose, He elaborated a plan so that evil might not reign over His creation forever. After Jesus paid the price of our ransom, the Lord was ready to operate His purpose on us. Salvation is the fullness of God’s will in action.

The Almighty did not measure His efforts to redeem the human being. What God said through Jeremiah about the disloyal Israelites shows that He would do anything to set His creation free from suffering. In the same way, He now speaks to those who walk astray, calling them to their senses, for there is nothing in Him that might lead a man to walk in the way of perdition.

He has already done everything that had to be done to take your life away from the evil way. Christ knew how much He would suffer to redeem you from the hands of the evil one, but He did not turn back and marched firmly towards His purpose of salvation. He did this when we were worth nothing. Thus, imagine what Jesus would do now to free you from the way of mistake? Therefore, do not waste the opportunity to be happy and make the right choice.

The divine plan started in the Garden of Eden, when the Lord prophesized what would happen in the fullness of times (Gal 4.4), telling Satan that he would harm the heel of the Seed, but that He would crush the serpent’s head (Gen 3.15). His action continued with Noah, in the building of the ark, Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Moses, Joshua, David, and many others. It is now your time to choose to serve the Most High.

The plan was very detailed. Thousands of people paid a high price so that the work could have been accomplished. It is almost an infinite number of individuals who collaborated with the plan, but there were also many who were used by the enemy so that salvation would not reach its conclusion. But thanks to God, it did! Maybe you might not understand this, but you are also included in this mission.

Never allow some situations to weaken the Word of God in your life. The salvation of the lost depends greatly in your answer to the temptations that come your way. Therefore, do not let the fascination for riches, the cares of live, and the worldly ambition, make the Word be without fruit in your life (Mt 13.22). You have been given the most important mission: to accomplish the work of God.

Why did the governors of Judah abandon the Lord? Because they became futile and loved more the things of this world. You must not strive to be rich, someone important, or to be applauded by others. Be a servant of the Lord and save yourself from the coming wrath.

In Christ, with love,

God, our Friend! The people that walk astray do not know the madness that they do when they turn their backs on you. They are marching towards the enemy, for they do not know how much they will suffer in this life and later, the torment in eternity.

You would never stop keeping us safe, if we asked You to free us from temptation. Lord, do not let madness take over us, making us become like those who walked astray from You, like futile people.

Look to the honest cry of my reader, who is asking for strength to come back to You. This person does not understand why he has been separated from You. Therefore, he is crying out for one more chance. Extend Your arms towards him, Father! Amen!
