…for John truly baptized with water, but you shall be baptized with the Holy Spirit not many days from now. Acts 1:5

Absolutely no soldier can go to war without any firepower, for the battles are not a festival to be celebrated, but they are an encounter of people who are decided to kill and to die. Demons cannot overcome you, for they have already been defeated by Jesus. Unfortunately, many people who are saved, although they have been victorious in many battles, they forget to fill themselves again with the celestial power; then, temptation knocks them down.

The battles of the Lord have to be won by those who have been called to take part in His Body; by those who have become part of Him and are armed to represent Him through the tough spiritual battles. We cannot be like David, who, at a certain moment, chose to stay in the comfort of the palace rather than go to war. It was useless to run away. The problem came to the king, and he didn’t even suspect that that was a hellish trap. Thus, he saw what he shouldn’t, he liked what was forbidden and sinned with Bathsheba. 

The disciples had been forbidden to leave from Jerusalem until the promised was fulfilled in their lives (Luke 24:49). Although they had already been baptized in the Holy Spirit, they were filled with power on other occasions. May the people of God not forget to seek spiritual renewal, so that they will never fail before temptations, for, the enemy is preparing them a trap when they least expect it. 

Seek the fulfilling of the promise, for you will be clothed with celestial power and you will be able to face the evil powers or other people that rise up against you. The soldiers of the cross must be ready at all times to go into battle. Only those who think they are weak and have not sought the baptism actually fear the enemy. Therefore, stay in your Jerusalem until you receive the clothing from on High. 

The promise given to the disciples was that they would be baptized in the Holy Spirit not long after Jesus ascended (Acts 1:8). This period also applies to us. Actually, those who were accepted by the Lord and confessed all their sins, and were set free from the evil ties, are ready to fight and win. That is why you must not let yourself be persuaded by what the Scriptures forbid, but you must do all that the Most High tells you to do.

With the baptism in the Spirit, you will show that you are prepared to be sent wherever the Father wants to send you, and so, you will give an effective testimony on the healing of the sick and on the deliverance of the oppressed and possessed. Those who have the Spirit of God are never defeated by the enemy and they still help those who ask for their intervention. Be filled of the Spirit!

Jesus said that you will soon be baptized in the Holy Spirit, but it is necessary to want and to seek this clothing. Enter and remain in the divine presence until the power is poured over your life. Then, in a blink of an eye, you will turn into the person God has called to serve Him.
