10/08/2014 - DRAWN BY DEEP COMPASSION

When the Lord saw her, He had compassion on her and said to her, “Do not weep.”  Luke 7.13

The miracle that the Lord Jesus did for the Widow of Nain teaches us many lessons. He did not stop to preach for her, so that she would have faith that her child would return. Instead, he had compassion. There are moments in which this same feeling comes upon us, and undoubtedly, we can accept it as a direction of the Most High. Therefore, we must be prepared for such occasions. If the Lord guides you in a certain direction, be certain that it is because He wants to accomplish something.

The multitude that watched the miracle that the Master did was astonished. Certainly, there was not even one who did not glorify God. A miracle of such greatness can draw many more sinners to salvation than hundreds of sermons. Everything that begins in the Lord will be fulfilled, and He said that those who believed in Him would do even greater works than He did (Jo 14.12).

When he touched the coffin, Jesus was not afraid that something would go wrong. Since he was a Perfect Man, Christ never had any of his actions unfulfilled. He also did not preach for that mother, so that she would repent from her sins, be saved, and only then have her son back. Being God himself, He can always change the norm. He is sovereign and wise; He knows what should be done.

When we are led by the feeling of compassion, the Lord goes before us to make the work be accomplished. In all cases, He desires us to be steadfast in the fulfilment of what He ordered us to accomplish. I have already been used to free a madam that was walking to a place where she would kill herself. The secret is to be driven by the Holy Spirit, who will never lead us to trouble.

The only thing we must do is to analyse if the orientation comes from God, or if it is something emotional, from the flesh. If it comes from the Most High, we can act by faith, and the Lord will make the miracle. Our relationship with the Father must always grow so that we might be guided to accomplish great works. It is impossible to have communion with God if the Word is not ministered to us.

Those who prepare themselves to serve God will hear things that the wicked will never know. As servants that are available to accomplish what has been ordered to us, the Most High will not let us be lazy in His work. Only He knows how and when He will use us, and thus, we will be able to materialize His desire. If we please our God, even the desires of our heart will be accomplished (Ps 37.4).

If the Word of God is revived in you, and you feel that He is giving you a blessing, or guiding you to do something for yourself or for your relatives, friends, or unknown people, do not despise what He says. God only needs us to be tools so that He can operate in our favour.

In Christ, with love,

Oh great God! How good it is to know that You can use us through compassion to accomplish many miracles. Nobody asked Jesus to revive the son of that woman in Nain, but Your compassion came upon Him, and He made the miracle happen.

May we understand the time that You concede us a blessing, so that we may never say that we are too busy, or that Your work does not concern us. What You have for us is way beyond what we can see, hear, or think.

Lord, I pray for all my friends who have heard this message. They have become aware that You do not desire that anyone may cry or be desperate. What is best, Father, is for us to fulfil Your work today. Help us!
