“that in everything you were enriched in Him, in all speech and all knowledge,” 1Corinthians 1.5

Paul begins this letter to the Corinthians, saying that he thanked The Lord regarding them about the Lord’s grace that was given to them in Christ Jesus. Then the apostle says that in Christ they had been enriched in every word and in all knowledge. This is also related to everyone that the Father has called, sanctified and anointed to be a minister of the New Testament.

Think about it: in everything we have been enriched, which means that there is no spiritual poverty in our account, but wealth in everything. And so, there is no reason in going through life without trying all of the power that God has; His miraculous operation, and His exalted Glory. If in Christ we have been enriched in everything, then there is nothing missing in us. We do need to seek the guidance of the Almighty to enjoy what He says belongs to us.

Without Jesus, as He Himself said, we can do nothing (John 15:5). But in Him, we are enriched in everything, so we can do the same things that He did. Even multiplying loaves, if necessary; turning water into wine, if necessary, or raising from the dead, if the Lord instructs us to do so. We can finally show the world what faith in Christ is able to do for everyone who believes.

Let’s be honest in recognizing that these words seem to be an irresponsible preacher’s madness, however, the madness is actually in the negative, scanty, and unsalted lessons we have been taught. According to Paul, we have been enriched in every word, so there is nothing that our God might have given to someone that has not been given to us. We are rich in the Word that will solve the problems.

The Lord has not limited our knowledge. Instead, He gave us great wisdom in Christ. What is required from us is more time in God’s presence, dedication, respect to the prohibitions given by Him, and a release from material things. Thereby we will be able to get to where God has taught us and taken us.

It’s time to change the way you pray. We have to stop praying negatively and start to firmly intercede, for if divine grace has enriched us, why insistently ask the Lord whether or not we should believe what the Scripture says? If we do that, it will be as if we were calling Him a liar. What He has stated is to be believed and taken as complete truth.

God will strengthen anyone who dares to believe in a biblical way and is willing to do His will. When facing any kind of attack from the enemy, show determination, certainty and fearlessness, for what the Word says is the absolute truth.

In the Love of Christ,

R. R. Soares
