So it came to pass, when they had brought them outside, that he said, “Escape for your life! Do not look behind you nor stay anywhere in the plain. Escape to the mountains, lest you be destroyed.” Genesis 19:17

Everything that the Lord has spoken concerning the coming of Jesus will happen, and we have to live in expectation of it. At the appointed time, which only God knows, the Master will return to remove us from this mad world. Those who do not expect Him will not even notice that those “stuffy believers”, who constantly and only talked about salvation, will no longer be here. Then, everything they always wanted to do but could not because we would not let them will be practiced by them without limits.

The urgency of the angels is like the work that the Holy Spirit is carrying out in these last days, which has led us to preach the Gospel to all parts of this world. This way, we have rescued lives. There are many who scoff at the Message of the Lord and are given to sinning, blind to all reality. We must work quickly to snatch as many as possible from the fire.

The command is that we escape for there will be much to do in Heaven. This is why we must work on our faith improving it daily, so that when Jesus does return to take us to the Kingdom of Happiness, we will not be sorry for not having done all that we were commanded by Him to do. It is God’s power as well as the strength and other abilities; therefore, let us hurry. Many are looking back; people that seem to belong to Jesus but are paralyzed in their faith.  Don’t ever forget the sad examples in Lot’s family. If you want to go up with Christ you cannot repeat past errors. Avoid remembering that which you did before you were saved, so as not to cancel the wonderful work that God has performed in you. Everything has been made new now!  Live like it!

In our walk toward heavenly Canaan many aspects will call our attention. When the angel told Lot and his family not to stop, he probably regretted the decision that he took in the flesh to keep the plains in the region of Sodom, letting Abraham keep the mountains. Lot understood that the plains were not for him for he had not saved one soul there. Would he account for those souls?

Previously, it would have been the right thing for Lot to take for the mountains and left the fertile plains for Abraham. However, greed would keep his mind on that plain and now that he had lost everything and without his greedy shepherds and their herds he would have to start all over again. Would he feel ashamed before his uncle when he learned that his choice was not directed by God? Would Abraham allow him to live in the mountains? You can’t be too careful in your decisions because you will be judged by them. Mercy!

The angel was emphatic when he told Lot that his happiness depended on his permanence on the mountain. But if he stayed in the plains, he would perish.  Go where the Lord sends you. Otherwise, you will discover how wrong you are. Lot took a long time to discover! Don’t be like him!

In Christ, with Love,

Savior Lord! As You said it, so it shall be: when the last trumpet sounds Your son will remove us from this evil world. Then we will be taken to Your Kingdom of love and mercy from where we will never leave. Halleluiah!

You provided for our redemption. So we do not perish along with the world, the day will be shortened. Thank You for loving us and preparing our new home, but help us to never look back or turn into statues of faith.

Nothing can stop us, not even our commercial opportunities. We must ascend Your mountain, seeking to be in Your tabernacle. Believers will never be confounded and show their faith by how they live. Amen!
