Your way, o God, is in the sanctuary; who is so great a God as our God? Psalm 77.13

The Lord walks only in the sanctuary, in holiness. There is no way he will ever be surprised, so no unexpected action may be taken to achieve victory. And this is what all those who have been called to stand next to him, to be a member of the body of Christ must do: come out of darkness and walk in the light. That has to become the ultimate goal of our lives. God will not allow any of his servants to take the wrong path and become contaminated.

Even if, according to your perception, your only option is to get out of God’s presence, don’t do it. Even if you understand that it is necessary to act a little different from what the Scriptures say—since yours is a special circumstance—don’t do it. The truth is that those who serve the living and holy God will never stumble on something unexpected, something the Lord didn’t know. Before the enemy put his plan into action, God has already prepared an escape for his children.

God’s way is perfect; therefore the filthy will never pass through it. In order to serve God we must be holy even at moments of “loss”, such as letting someone have your cloak (Matthew 5.40), walking the second mile (Matthew 5.41) and offering the other cheek also (Luke 6.29). The instructions recorded in the Holy Book are the best ones we could ever receive; in them, there is life and solution to our needs. It is better to suffer any loss than receive any “help” from the enemy.

No evil spirits, principalities, powers, rulers of the darkness of this age, or spiritual hosts of wickedness are able to act in the heavenly places, fighting against the Lord. Therefore, never accept that, in a certain situation, something makes you act as an unrighteous person, because this way you will lose the great reward that God has in store for you.

He who has a white, clean garment will be heard during his affliction. So never act out of the standards established for God’s servants, and never lie. The angels who left their dwellings became imprisoned in eternal jails. He who refuses or despises the Word will perish. But he who remains steadfast will never be left alone in the furnace, den of lions or battle fields.

The children of God have a dual ministry: they are priests to minister to and for the Most High at any time and in any place, and kings to act in a sovereign manner in everything that concerns them. If they remain faithful, they will have the Lord as their God. Beware of this “small” detail: lack of holiness may be fatal. Be holy, for I am holy (1Peter 1.16).

In Christ, with love,

Dear Father, how nice it is to hear from you and learn to walk in your way! Holiness does us good, and by remaining in your sanctuary we will never be removed from your presence, nor put to shame. Help us fight our battles and come out victorious. Forgive us, Lord, when we do not heed what you say.

Some of my friends may be in the furnace of temptation; others in the den of lions or battle field. So I pray for them, that they may be strong and stand firm against the deceitful means, lies and traps of the enemy.

With your help, we will not bend over. Our purpose is to serve you forever, fulfilling that which you have established as conduct for those who give themselves to you and serve you with love and dedication. Help us, Lord, never get disappointed.
