Depart from me, all you workers of iniquity; for the Lord has heard the voice of my weeping.  Psalm 6.8

Sometimes, temptation leads a godly person to commit a serious sin. Then, this person feels abandoned, and at the same time, a prisoner to the enemy and tempter. Inside this person comes a panic that something bad might happen to him. He fears that the Lord, in His wrath, may rebuke or punish him. Those who might be in this condition please keep reading this study. God wants and will free you from the power of evil.

The secret is to cry out for the divine mercy, for it will free you from sin and will make you enjoy communion with the Father once again. Without it, you will never be accomplished in life, for indeed, sin separates us from God and covers His face from us (Is 59.2). Without seeing the light of the face of the Lord, we are troubled, for we need this light, which is the Word – the lamp to our feet –, so that we might have our path lightened (Ps 119.105).

The distance from God makes us feel week, sick, and with our souls rotten. There is nothing worse than the remorse of having betrayed the Lord and those that trusted in you. The question is: why not confess your sin to both? Why remain with a feeling that you will not be saved? This will only happen if you do not recompose, freeing yourself from your sin forever. Will you keep postponing it for later? Be careful, for you might not have time!

Those who fall in sin damage their structures. Some people have hallucinations; others have depression as the lord of their lives. Some even think that they will never be accepted by the Lord again. The troubled soul induces the person to act as if he were not even human. It is necessary to bring God once again to your soul, for only He can free you from condemnation. He does so because he is good and merciful (Ps 145.8).

The one who departs from God has no godly memories, for this person is dominated by Satan’s nature. If he keeps living like that, he will be eternally lost. It is not enough to be tired of your own wailing. Stop making your bed swim, drenching your couch with your tears (Ps 6.6). Your eyes waste away because of grief and have grown old because of your enemies (v. 7). It is necessary to follow the divine orientation to be freed once and for all from all of this.

There is only one remedy: confess to the Lord, make things right with Him, and then make a sincere and firm prayer, ordering that all those that practice iniquity may depart from you. Otherwise, you will never experience the years of peace and accomplishment that the Most High wants to give you. This is the best moment to pray and take a stand: what matters is your hearts decision. The door is open for you, but if you don’t go in, it will be shut forever. 

Be firm and sincere with the Lord. Don’t allow anything to come between you and the Almighty. He who spreads rumors, who is dishonest and unfaithful, who keeps anger, bitterness, and hatred in his heart must seek the person whom he offended and make things right as soon as possible. Talk to God and fulfill your vows.
