21/08/2017 - EXTREME NECESSITY

Then Judah said to Tamar his daughter-in-law, “Remain a widow in your father’s house till my son Shelah is grown.” For he said, “Lest he also die like his brothers.” And Tamar went and dwelt in her father’s house. Genesis 38:11

The devil was going to extremes so that the Messiah would not come and the Savior had to come from the Tribe of Judah.  The downfall of one who is saved is always a victory for the powers of darkness, the devil, who this way can thwart God’s plan for that life and for the Gospel.  Many who lost themselves in sin did not understand that the temptation they suffered should not have been accepted because it was Satan’s effort to prevent them from executing the great commission – the redemption of one or of many.

Two of Judah’s sons paid with their lives for disobedience to the Lord, due to His strictness against those that stand in the way of His plan.  Certainly He must have spoken to the hearts of these two so that they did not avoid having children but as they did not heed Him the sentence was the cruelest possible (v.7-9).  This also shows that the devil’s main mission is to not let anyone hear the Truth because he knows that those who hear and heed Him will certainly be blessed.

That Tamar should dress herself as a prostitute for God to fulfill His purpose is the craziest madness that anyone who fears God can do (v.12-18). In sanctity, there are no and there will be no limits for Christ to reveal Himself to the world.  The Lord will do what is necessary to spread the Gospel and to evangelize the world during this generation as long as the Church understands, and using the power given to her, she prays to bind and chain the powers of darkness.

Join this purpose and project and make the Lord rejoice in gladness.  Speak of divine Love and help those who are fulfilling God’s command to “Go!” Your financial status is irrelevant, since any contribution touches God’s heart, and He does not want anyone to be lost.  We must praise and sing thanks to Him for the privilege and opportunity to speak of Salvation in Jesus in almost all countries today.

Tamar saw that God’s promise would fail if it depended on Judah and Shelah his son, because the difference in age to the second was great and the matter was set aside.  She could have married some other man and had as many children as she wanted but the seed had to come from Abraham and the tribe of Judah. She risked being stoned if she had failed or if Judah had denied that they had had intercourse.  But the proof in Tamar’s hands rendered no harm done to the truth.

Blessed was Tamar’s prudence in asking for a guarantee, although she was being guided by the Lord.  Judah’s reaction on learning that she was expecting a child shows man’s tendency to execute biblical condemnation but not to honor the commandment and his own word.  Initially, Tamar must have been happy for she would not have to wait to be espoused to Shelah.

Only those that the Almighty uses can carry out His commands even if it leads to their death; but this does not occur to those conducted by the Holy Spirit. If Perez had not been born, what would be of God’s plan? (V.28-30) Thank you Lord!  Thank you Tamar!  Amen!

In Christ, with Love,

God!  Men have brought You many deceptions; by acting as the lost  they try to interrupt Your designs.  Jacob’s son didn’t think of this but You did.  How many have abandoned You due to prostitution and other errors!

That Tamar’s prudence may recur in all areas needed. This way, the devil will not be able to thwart You.  She held as a guarantee the seal, the cord and the staff and so Judah could not deny he was the father of the child that she was expecting!

I don’t know what You had to do for this reader to exist, but You have a mission that is exclusive for this person to fulfill.  Therefore, I pray that You might protect and use him like You did to Jesus and the apostles. I pray that this reader may never be cause for someone to lose himself and his salvation. Amen!
