He that feared the word of the Lord among the servants of Pharaoh made his servants and his cattle flee into the houses. Exodus 9:20

The scenario started to change. With the pestilences that fell over the Egyptian population and the threats of hailstorm and lightening, the people perceived they’d better not fool with the God of the Hebrews.  The absence of respect and fear in one’s heart prevents that person from many blessings and concurrently allows the enemy breaches through which evil works can be committed in that life.  God’s Holy Word guarantees there is no way a curse can affect anyone if there is no cause. (Proverbs 26:2)

The main reason why most people suffer at the hands of the devil is lack of the fear of God.  Wherever God is not even considered, the enemy will work his destruction. The same thing occurs among the saved.  Most often the responsibility and the blame can be allotted to those who did not teach how God should and could be truly served.  In truth, when one does not take up protection in the Almighty, vulnerability to the enemy’s attacks sets in.  God’s people suffer because they lack knowledge of His Word. (Hosea 4:6)

If everyone were taught to seek God in fact, to believe in His Word and to use His Name to counter and to destroy evil, in little time we would see millions of sinners repenting and surrendering to Jesus Christ. The horribly bad teaching of the rights of the saved and what they can do by using the Name of Jesus have made many become slaves to the devil.

The Church cannot remain withdrawn and passive while watching sin and disdain for God increase, if she has the power to bind anything in the heavens binding the same on Earth (Matthew 18:18). Maybe you yourself are suffering needlessly; instead of resisting and rebuking the acts of the devil you have believed that the trials are one of God’s teaching methods so you learn to fear Him.  The devil is content with the spiritual ignorance of Christians.

The Holy Scriptures declare: When the righteous triumph, there is great joy; but when the wicked rise, men go into hiding. (Proverbs 28:12). This is exactly what happens where Truth arrives.  Early in the Christian faith people are joyful and happy – their lives change for the better and they begin to serve God in truth.  But after a while, the enemy makes a comeback seven times stronger in the lives of many. Mercy!

The only reason more people did not die in Egypt during the plague of the hailstorms is because many of the Pharaoh’s officers feared the Lord. These envoys to the Pharaoh recognized that God’s threats were promises that came to be.  So they made their workers seek shelter in their own homes and bring the animals under cover. Wherever men and animals were out in open fields and pastures, not a single one survived.  Shelter yourself in Jesus Christ!

Take the Lord at his Word, seriously in everything He says or you will regret it for sure; you, your family members and all who did not hear and listen to the sweet Gospel of good News.  We are at war and if we do not rise to the challenge, the devil will swallow us whole.

In Christ, with Love,

Oh God! At first Moses seemed to be as crazy talker that nobody paid attention to. But as the plagues grew in number, many of the Pharaoh’s officials no longer doubted they would ever come to be.  Many of them became believers in You.

Today we are responsible for Your work in the world.  If we remain silent we will suffer eternal condemnation. You anointed us to do Your will, and for this we must surrender and be Your servants wherever You send us.

We cry for mercy for the time we wasted as we wandered aimlessly while others are walking to the abyss.  We have been taken by worldly passions and attracted to be fooled by the deceptions of the world. But we want to be useful to You. Amen!
