Or else, if you will not let My people go, behold, I will send swarms of flies on you and your servants, on your people and into your houses. The houses of the Egyptians shall be full of swarms of flies, and also the ground on which they stand. Exodus 8:21

When someone has an evil passion in them, it is useless to threaten them with an imminent danger, because they will not be dissuaded or weakened in their resolve.  Moses was polite but firm with the king of Egypt, warning him that by not letting Israel go free would call down more plagues on his people. Since the Pharaoh paid no attention to this warning message, his whole country paid the consequences.  The same happens to the families of those who do not hear or heed the Lord.

The lice plague was terrible (Exodus 8:17), and not one Egyptian was free from being infested by lice.  Those who harden their heads and do not bend to the Truth will discover now and for all eternity that living in rebellion to the Word of the Lord was certainly not worth it. The devil has tempted many people and those who lend him credence end up with serious problems.

When the Lord makes a revelation not only is it the Truth but it is also a message or instruction for us to know, obey and act upon to be delivered from the deeds of the enemy. Therefore keep in mind the biblical references; if you do not act as prescribed you might lose the great opportunity of your life. The Word once pronounced is filled with the power to deliver you totally and completely.

In men’s eyes, Moses was bold and daring for having discovered where the Pharaoh bathed and gone there to warn or to threaten him. Nevertheless it was the Lord who made him understand what consequences he would suffer upon disobeying the divine orders. Those who hear the divine message and pay no attention to it will be the only ones to be responsible for what will be the consequences to suffer. The Creator has authority over all of His creation.

The Pharaoh did not expect that God would begin to afflict only the Egyptians and separate the Israelites from the harm to be inflicted and suffered. From this day on the people of God would not suffer with or suffer as the wicked.  This must be understood as a word from Heaven to the sons and daughters of God; there has to be a difference between the saved and the lost, the holy and the wicked.

This fact also proves that everything in both worlds, the physical and the spiritual, point to the Lord, even the flies and the deep darkness which swept over the land of Egypt, but were not present in any home of the Hebrew (v. 22) In light and view of these facts we have a standing to claim and cry out for immunity from epidemics, natural disasters and other misfortunes.

If the Lord says anything to you, listen and comply, because certainly what He says is true and will come to pass.  This way, those who revere and obey His command will have a promised reward.  When He determines something, there also are consequences for those who do not observe and obey.
