For the LORD will be your confidence, and will keep your foot from being caught. Proverbs 3.26

God’s children are distinguished from other people for the faith that is given to them. They are upbeat, joyful, and they do not fear any threats from the devil. On the other hand, those who do not live in the presence of the Lord are like the most coward unbelievers. As soon as the devil charges at them, they become desperate and flee. Requesting prayer does not always mean that there is fear of the Lord in the heart of the person who wishes to be blessed.

Faith is for everyone, but it does not work miracles in everyone. It can only fulfill its mission if the person uses it with confidence, believing that it will be done as he says. People who are always hesitating, searching for help in different places will never be able to see the power of God at work in their lives—even if they use the name of Jesus. Examine yourself and, as difficult as your situation may seem, remain steadfast.

God is our blessed confidence, and those who trust in him know that it is impossible for any weapon formed against them to prosper (Isaiah 54.17a). We should not say that we belong to God and that he will protect us so we will be successful, if, when facing an attack from the devil, we are hesitant and fail to take a position against what he is trying to do in our lives. The person who wins is the one that puts his trust fully in the Lord.

The enemy may plan the destruction of a faithful Christian and lay down the best and most perfect plan. However, when he launches his attack, he will see that God is the All-powerful, so the great plan which his sick mind prepared will prove the dumbest thing ever created. Those who believe in the Lord must never worry about the devil’s lies; after all, his threats are never fulfilled in the lives of God’s servants.

No traps of the devil will catch you, nor will he bind your feet, preventing you from going where the Lord leads you. Only Christians have power to bind on earth and have it bound in heaven, and loose on earth and see it be loosed in heaven, and watch the Lord to loose everything in the spiritual world (Matthew 18.18). Your participation in God’s work is powerful and invincible; nevertheless, it is essential that you do not look back in order not to bring shame to the Lord.

Those who take their position in Christ will never find themselves in the hands of the devil. He disguises himself as sheep, but those who are saved can recognize a wolf in sheep’s clothing. Whatever is afflicting you, send it away in the name of Jesus, and stop paying attention to the enemy’s symptoms.

Live in the assurance that no evil will befall you, nor will any plague come near your dwelling (Psalm 91.10). Rise up and cast out all maladies that are afflicting you today. Those who truly belong to Christ are free of any troubles.
