And who is he who will harm you if you become followers of what is good? 1 Peter 3.13

There are many people that have given a lot of space to the devil, saying that he can touch in anything he wishes, and so it happens. However, the Word of God teaches us how to stay far away from his line of operation. The truth is that many times, he has not even touched us and we are already confessing that the temptation has struck us. No Christian should fall into the traps set by the enemy, for they are false.

When you feel that something bad will happen to you, immediately use your authority in Christ and demand that evil to disappear and never come back. However, if at the moment of his attack you look impotent, the devil will know that your strength is weak, and will stay in the edge of your being. If he is not cast out, he will call his destroyer friends to make company with him.

The secret is to be zealous of what is good, not ceasing to examine the Scriptures and always having communion with God. This way, your faith will be strong, and when the enemy comes your way, you will have the conditions to rebuke him, using the fire that the Lord has already given you in the moment of your baptism in the Holy Spirit. Undoubtedly, we can affirm that the Christians are suffering for not paying attention to what the Holy Scriptures says.

How can the evil one touch someone who has Jesus in his life? In truth, the enemy will insist, knowing that some will remain steady in their faith. If in a certain moment you pronounce a negative word – something you say without checking if it is in the Bible or not – , this shows that you have not taken hold of what the Lord did in your favor with Jesus’ death. Then, the devil feels comfortable and attacks. It is better to be watchful so that you do not give space to the devil (Eph 4.27).

Satan may tempt you, but he cannot oblige you to receive dirty thoughts or diseases, nor can he make you experiment drugs or bad things. When you are tempted, you have not yet sinned. But if you allow the temptation to dwell in your heart, you will submit to the enemy’s authority, and then he will be able to charge against your life with all his hatred. Afterwards, you can only get rid of him with a prayer of faith.

Jesus affirmed that those who experienced the freedom that He gives would really become free (Jo 8.36). If you have given your life to the Son of God, you already have the forgiveness of your old sins. So now is the time to confess that no tool prepared by the devil will work against your life (Is 54.17). Do this now. Every declaration from the Scriptures, if accepted and confessed, will make you free of all the actions from Satan.

Finally, the Master promised that everything that you ask – determine, vindicate, demand – in His Name He will do (Mk 11.23). Therefore, stand up against the evil that is trying to dominate you and order it to leave. Then, believe in your prayer. Heaven and earth will pass away, but the Word of the Lord will not fail or pass away. (Lk 21.33)

In Christ, with love,

My God! How we need to read more of Your Word and know Your Holy Spirit to reveal to us what is written. If we do so, we will acquire strength to reject the temptations from the enemy over us.

The truth is that we have not been zealous of what is good, nor have we cared for what belongs to us. Therefore, almost all the arrows of the enemy have struck us. Now, we know that if we want to please You, we must be zealous of what is good, not accepting evil.

I know that many of my readers will live better from now on. They will not accept anymore the attacks of the devil. They have learnt to behave before all temptations. Father, thank You! Who will be able to harm those who serve You in truth?
