18/04/2015 - FULFILL YOUR MISSION WITH JOY

But none of these things move me; nor do I count my life dear to myself, so that I may finish my race with joy, and the ministry which I received from the Lord Jesus, to testify to the gospel of the grace of God.  Acts 20.24

The Apostle Paul had an understanding about the importance of joy which made him be fulfilled in his ministry. The psalmist David said that joy is indispensable in the service that we do for the Lord. Jesus affirms that our joy must be complete (Jo 15.11) and that it comes whenever He visits our hearts. Whenever this happens, we can take hold of everything that He promised. The joy of the Lord fulfills us completely.

It is evident that the apostle valued his own life, but since he understood the importance of the divine calling, he did not consider his life precious, for he had found something infinitely better. He who does not yet know what God wants from him lives like the other people, only thinking about themselves. This phase is dangerous for the Christian, for he can be influenced by a temptation, and if such a thing happens, he may not enter in the kingdom of God.

Jesus said that whoever loses his life for His sake will find it again; however, he who wishes to keep it, afraid of obeying the Commission (Mk 16.15), will lose it (Mk 8.35). Examine yourself and check if you have done your will or the Lord’s. Certainly, you already know what He expects from you. If my dear reader is found in want, there will be punishment. Give maximum priority for what you have been ordered.

Like Paul, we must seek to serve God with joy, for without it, it will be impossible to have this privilege. It is granted whenever the Word is revealed to us. In that moment, it is as if Christ visited us personally. The Lord does not accept that we might serve Him with a sad heart, upset countenance or bad humor.

With the joy of the Lord, you will be happy in all ways. We are ordained to testify the Truth, but in order to better understand what God wants us to do we must pay attention to what the Father tells us. When we fulfill the commandments, we obtain an understanding that will give us a hundred per cent success in everything.

Our calling is to testify the Good News of the grace of God. This is what the apostle said that he has sent to fulfill. This order weighs upon us all. If we act accordingly, we will see friends, relatives, and unknown people coming to thank us for what we did in their favor. Strive to give good testimony of the Good News.

We are highly privileged, for the Most High considered us able to give to our fellow human beings the testimony of Truth. In Heaven, we will see how much He loved us for granting us such an opportunity. There, we will be rewarded even because of a glass of Water of Life that we may have given someone.

In Christ, with love,

Father, raiser of workers! How glad I am to have been called to do Your holy work. I know that I have a career that was proposed for me, therefore, I must consider myself obliged to treat everyone equally, being faithful to You.

You are worthy of being praised for all good that I do in ministry. My career is to lead everyone to Your knowledge, avoiding to contaminate myself with the wrong practices of this world. With Your help, I will do this so that You may be glorified.

Lead us throughout the world and use us to give testimony of the Truth to all creatures. This is the main reason of our prayer. Give us grace, wisdom, and anointing to honor You and always do what You order us. The glory of what we have done will be all Yours, Lord!
