31/03/2015 - GET TO KNOW ONLY THE LORD

None of them shall teach his neighbor, and none his brother, saying, ‘Know the LORD,’ for all shall know Me, from the least of them to the greatest of them. Hebrews 8:11

I’ve seen some people say that a certain preacher is their guru. Actually, at least two people have asked me to be their guru. This is inconceivable, especially when it comes to preachers of the Gospel. No mortal man has light in himself; so whoever makes such a request is totally unaware that this is impossible to occur. Why would I occupy the position of the Lord in their life? It is God we have to resort to.

Such a request is a downright nonsense. Jesus forbade us to call anyone on earth our teacher (Matthew 23:10). This mission is the prerogative of the Holy Spirit, and if someone insists on it they are putting themselves in a very dangerous position, which may cause them to be oppressed by Satan. This does not mean we can disrespect our leadership, but the Lord Himself will teach us about Him.

The time has come for us to know our God. When He saved us, the Most High revealed Himself within us in such a way that we have no doubt about who He is. What we need to know on a daily basis is His Word so as not to act against His will, which will be ministered to us by His Spirit. Thus, we will be wise and able to accomplish His eternal plans.

In the face of adversities, we should pray and wait for the guidance that we will be given to us through the Scriptures. Upon revealing His will, the Father will let us know when to act and how to correctly do what pleases Him (Ecclesiastes 8:5). If revelation does not come, sin may hide in our hearts (Isaiah 59:1-2). It is best to pray to understand what has disrupted the divine operation in us because the curse without cause shall not alight (Proverbs 26:2).

When faith comes, we only have to believe and pray, and this prayer will never lead us to defeat for it has the power to get our sins forgiven. There’s no such a thing as not attaining the solution we hope for after performing an intercession according to the divine guidance. Faith is like a green traffic light that gives us permission to proceed. Once we have it, we can thank the Lord for the victory.

The minute faith arises in your soul, the door for you to enter God’s storehouse is open and you can take what is yours. Failing to act after receiving this assurance is something very serious, because it sounds like a confession that one does not believe in the Lord and does not expect Him to be faithful in fulfilling what He promised. Don’t ever fail to take possession of what’s been revealed to you. Once you have the substance of things hoped for and the evidence of things not seen (Hebrews 11:1), you are allowed to do the work that Jesus did.

Note that the Word says that all shall know the Lord. If it said that only a few would have such opportunity many could be considered excluded. However, as it does not say so, be brave, strong and firm in the faith because you will get what God declares to be yours.
