Who confirms the word of His servant, and performs the counsel of His messengers; who says to Jerusalem, ‘You shall be inhabited,’ to the cities of Judah, ‘You shall be built,’ and I will raise up her waste places. Isaiah44.26

Even though the Lord promises to be with us, respond our prayers, and confirm our words, there are people that do not allow Him to do so. Sin has been the lord of many of God’s children. Not all of them are practicing it extensively, but many have allowed the devil to make its nest in their hearts, so they live in the same weakness as the lost that do not know Jesus.

Since the day when Christ exclaimed: It is finished (Jo 19.30), the lordship of the devil over us has finished, so those who converted to Jesus are people with an enormous potential. However, since they do not get rid of temptations and live always thinking about what is not proper – judging other people, lying and deceiving in other cases – what they say never comes to happen.

Since the days of Solomon (which were almost three thousand years ago), the Lord says: if My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land(2 Cr 7.14). However, what is seen everywhere is a willingness to have more and more, and to find pleasure at any cost. Thus, believers stop having their word confirmed by God.

With Jesus, it was different, for He believed in what the Father said, and did not let Himself be driven by sin or laziness. Then, every time the evil one came to cause Him harm – whether through nature or through people –, He rebuked evil, and everything came back to normality. Thus, the Father could do through Him all His miracles, driving the multitudes to seek Him. This is the secret that will make us experiment the divine operations.

The true servant will have his word confirmed by the Most High. Being a servant of God means submitting to what He orders, fulfilling His commandments, and not fearing the threats of the enemy. It is impossible for God to forget anyone who does His will. When the believer orders the evil one to leave a life (it may be even his own life), the devil flees immediately. Have you been able to see your orders being fulfilled?

Those who serve the Lord live in the divine atmosphere. For them, even if everything fails, their word will not fail. If they are sent to a desert region on earth, that terrain will shortly become a beautiful garden. These people are fearless in their mission, and they do not allow that the enemy might interfere in the work that they do for the Most High. The servants of God are powerful witnesses of Christ in the world.
