When Abram was ninety-nine years old, the LORD appeared to Abram and said to him, “I am Almighty God; walk before Me and be blameless.  Genesis 17.1

The promise to bless Abraham and his offspring had been done many years ago, however, as time went by, it seemed as if the Lord was facing problems to fulfill it. Sometimes, without us knowing the reason why, what we pray or determine does not happen, and then, we feel frustrated. Now, if He is All Mighty, why does He take long to answer us? These questions are answered in the Scriptures.

When Abraham came back, after having defeated the four kings who had defeated the rulers of Sodom and the surrounding cities, God told him that his reward was exceedingly great ( Gen 15:1). When he heard this, the patriarch seized the opportunity and asked the Lord what He would give him, since he still had no children. The patriarch affirmed that it seemed that Eliezer, the steward of his house would be his heir. However, the Most High assured that his heir would come out of his own body (Gen 15:2-4).

That which God affirms will happen, as long as we don’t prevent His work. Through normal conditions, Sara could not be a mother, for she was past the age in which a woman can conceive. However, since the Lord said that this would happen, Abraham had all the right to wait and believe that it would be so. Humanly speaking he could have given up, but since he heard God, he had the obligation to believe against that which was evident and thus he did.

One day, Sara got tired of waiting and asked her husband to give her a son through her servant. Afterwards, they heard that that child would not be the heir, but the one that would come out from them would. Her affliction was enormous, and because of that, she asked that to be done in order for the promise to be fulfilled. However, the Most High said no to their plans. This teaches us to never attempt something to try and help the Lord, because no plan that comes from man will be accepted. After all, God knows how to do the work.

When Abraham heard the Lord say that Sara would give him a son in their old age, he was certain that the One who had promised him was powerful to accomplish that. Therefore, strive to be a person of faith, and not a religious person. Now, if God reveals you His plan, believe in it right away. In truth, ever since the first moment you heard the Gospel, the Lord has shown you what He wants from you. Do what the Father says, and He will fulfill the promise.

The works of God are miraculous, but they take place naturally. The Lord show to the patriarch that He had no problems, for He was the Almighty One. That is how He wants you to know Him. If you have heard from Him that a blessing belongs to you, and although you have agreed with it, prayed and believed in it and it still has not happened, be certain that the flaw is not in God. Then, begin to ask Him to show you what still needs to be done.

When God showed Abraham that He had no difficulties in fulfilling His promise, He gave him two directions for it to be accomplished: walk in His presence and be perfect. That is what the Father asks us. We must live believing in the words of the Lord and not accept any doubt, for He is faithful and powerful.

In Christ, with love,

All Mighty God! You dont have and You won’t have any problems that prevent You from accomplishing what You have promised. If we walk in Your presence – believing in the Word and being perfect in it – there will be nothing impossible for You.

Many people must have laughed at Abraham for having confessed for many years that he would be the father along with Sara of an heir, but nothing happened. However, when he was 99 years old and she was 89, You fulfilled the promise.

We cannot be deceived by the enemy. Yes, we have to stand firm by Your Word and make the right decision. You have oriented us to believe in You. If we do that, we will see Your glory working through us.
