Where can I go from Your Spirit? Or where can I flee from Your presence? Psalm 139.7

He who leaves his home thinking in his own problems does not know that the all-powerful God is on his side, ready to move into action and bring a solution to his concerns. However, it seems that many times the person is “sleeping”, with a numb mind, and does not realize that God exists, who he is, and that he acts in our lives. Be aware that wherever you are or go the Almighty will be there with all his power.

Why is it that we do things without the perception that the Lord is watching us? If we go to work, God is there. Many times we have a problem at the workplace, a problem that seems unsolvable. But if we take a firm position in prayer and then, when we feel God’s presence, we ask him to bring a solution to that matter, he will surely tell us what to do.

The same thing can happen in our leisure time. It is necessary to remember that, being our Father, he rejoices in helping us. God does not object to you taking some time to rest, to renew your strength and to spend quality time with your spouse and other family members. However, many times we fail to give him the opportunity to intercede in our favor. It does not matter where God is called, he will move into action.

The truth is that our actions are bad most of the time. What do you do when you find out that someone is going through hardship? Do you go to the person and tell him what the Word speaks about that? When you see a person in need, do you stretch out your hand, spend some of your valuable time helping him out, seek from God a message that will change his life completely, or you just say anything? The Lord is watching all that we do, brethren.

Many people of God live with their minds full of negative and unclean thoughts. This should not be the behavior of a person who wants to be helped by the Almighty. The Lord said we must be holy because he is holy (1Peter 1.16). How can God have fellowship with a person whose heart is filled with unclean or evil things? If that is your case, wouldn’t it be better to confess to the Father that you have not been honoring him?

How can a person who claims to be a servant of God spend a single day without reading the Scriptures or meditating in the Word that caught his eyes? He who acts in this manner has not learned how to love our Father. If there are more important things in your life than seeking God’s presence, when you need his help you will not find it. Make of the Lord your God, the One who can help you; but remember that he must be respected and served as such.

There is nowhere you can flee from God’s presence. Do not act like a scared little child who covers his head with the blanket to hide from the monster in the closet. Serve the Lord with all your soul and all your heart. By doing that, you will enjoy his company and love. The Almighty declares that he loves those who love him (Proverbs 8.17); therefore, the secret is to love him, and you will be loved by him too.

In Christ, with love,

Merciful Father, it is so easy to forget about you when we focus too much in our own problems. We must not live like those who are lost, who do not give you the opportunity to reveal yourself to them, showing that not only do you exist, but also that you care for us.

Even in our moments of leisure, when we are not worried about work or other things, we must be alert at what you say, so that the enemy will not invade our minds. How can we see a person in need and turn our backs to him, without delivering your message to him? Do we really love you?

We ask you to clear our minds from unclean, negative and evil things, Lord. We need to be transformed by the renewal of our understanding. Help us, Father, to consult your Word and meditate on the passages that catch our eyes. We want to be your true servants!
