For thus says the High and Lofty One Who inhabits eternity, whose name is Holy: “I dwell in the high and holy place, With him who has a contrite and humble spirit, To revive the spirit of the humble, And to revive the heart of the contrite ones. Isaiah 57.15

The Lord brings four definitions of Himself, that will be of great importance to all those who understand the meaning of each one of them. By what we learn in the Scriptures, we can see the greatness of God towards all those who put their faith in Him. The Most High will always be with everyone, especially with those who worship Him in spirit and in truth, for this is the only way to serve Him.

He declares Himself to be High, which position is the highest and unapproachable by any wickedness from man or the enemy. Only when we get to Heaven will we understand who is this Being who created all things out of nothing, and despite the fall and submission of man to the devil, He still loves us and He strives to make us more than conquerors. He is above every creature or action.

When defining Himself as Lofty, God allows us to understand a little bit of His gentle heart, where there is no anger, hatred nor prejudice towards His creation. Because He is omniscient, He knows what we think and do and even so, He wants to take us away from this meaningless life. If you don’t accept the divine offer, your heart will darken more and more as the days go by, for lack of light within your attitudes.

God declares that He dwells eternity. This means there is no beginning and there will be no end. He will always be the same. What a tremendous loss those who don’t convert will have! For one simple act, they will miss out on eternal happiness by the One who never wishes them any evil. However, if they turn back to the Lord, they will be purified of their evil works and finally, when they leave this world, they will be with Him forever and ever.

The celestial Father also defines Himself as Holy. This means there is no wickedness in Him. He is righteous, there is no deceit in what He does and speaks. The work of God is pure and opened to all those who are called to belong to His family. Therefore, don’t exchange good for evil, purity for filthiness, and don’t lose the happiness that will be with you forever and ever. Why surrender to the enemy if you can have God as your Friend?

The Lord is High and not only does He dwell in a high and holy place, but also with those who have a contrite and humble spirit. Those who listen to the Gospel feel that the message is powerful, and that it can make them have an abundant life and become the person whom God has separated them to be. However, because of one wrong desire, some people close in on themselves and miss out on a lot.

The mission of the Most High is to revive the spirit of the humble, and to revive the heart of the contrite ones. If you feel touched to change after you listened to the Word, God says that He can dwell with you, leading you to go through the new birth, through which you will be recreated in Christ Jesus. Then, you will be able to execute the divine work with success and no condemnation.

In Christ,with love,

High, Lofty and Holy God! It is wonderful to hear about what You are and that You still worry and engage Yourself to help those that serve You and dedicate themselves to do Your will. This assures them that they will not be abandoned.

Even if we strive to the utmost, we will never get rid of the enemy’s hatred, who tries to take us away from Your presence systematically. There are times he manages to succeed. But, now, we have the promise of the vivification.

Come and vivify our spirit, for we don’t want to remain dead without feeling Your presence. Our heart cries out for this! When life comes and re-engages us again, we will fulfill Your commands and we will glorify You.
