Then the angel said to her, “Do not be afraid, Mary, for you have found favor with God.

Luke 1:30

If we turn aside from what the Word tells us, we will not receive the blessings the Lord has in store for us. Unfortunately, it’s common for man to think God’s promises are impossible to be fulfilled. Mary, for example, allowed the spirit of fear to get into her heart, although she shouldn’t have. Well, the divine message is like a document certifying that we are possessors of the promised blessing, so once we receive it the right thing to do is believe in what the Father promised to us.

Those who fail to hold fast to what the Lord tells them miss out on a lot. The Word that brought about your understanding has the necessary power to fulfill what it announced; after all, the Almighty would never say something whose importance for us He would determine later. Furthermore, because He is perfect and complete, He is never wrong and His Word can be considered a work done, even though the circumstances might say otherwise.

The heavenly messenger visited Mary because she had found favor in the sight of Him who is perfect: our God. When the Scriptures reveal something to you that makes you understand the Lord has a great purpose for your life, do not hesitate because if you hadn’t attained the divine favor, the Lord would have never given you a revelation. Whatever the Lord tells you must the focus of your life.

Because human nature is not connected to the Lord, it’s normal for man to think the promises made by the Almighty are impossible to be accomplished. However, since you must walk by faith not by sight or feelings (II Corinthians 5:7), do not waste any blessing but rather believe in what God tells you and hold His promises as a goal to be reached. The Father is pleased to see His children struggling to achieve what they have learned to be the divine will for them.

The angel warned the young virgin that she should not let the spirit of fear get into her heart. We must always keep an eye out because the devil will do anything to try to prevent us from taking possession of what was given to us. Do not be shy or fearful. Stand firm in your convictions and decisions because the Creator will always honor what His lips uttered, even if a billion people say the opposite.

He who receives the divine message can be considered its owner for faith is the evidence – the document – of things not seen (Hebrews 11:1). Failing to seek your blessing and failing to put into practice what you have been told is a twofold mistake. Even if you do not understand it, you will be a winner if only you hear through the Word that victory already belongs to you. Therefore, strive for it to come true!

The moment God tells us something He finishes His part. Then, all we have to do is to believe it so that what the Lord announces comes to be; after all, what the Almighty declares always happens, though heaven and earth pass away (Matthew 24:35). Those who have found grace before the Lord have a responsibility to remain firm in their spiritual position.
