Son of man, set your face toward the mountains of Israel, and prophesy against them.

Ezekiel 6.2

The Lord told Ezekiel to prophesy against the mountains of Israel. It is important to know that it is not incumbent upon servants to choose which words to speak nor to whom; they must fully comply with God’s orders. The servants of the Lord take pleasure in obeying him. And the more we please him, the stronger we get, for the joy of the Lord is our strength (Nehemiah 8.10).

In order to be used by the Lord, you must walk in accordance with the Holy Spirit’s guidance, so that the flesh and carnal desires will not control your life. Those who are controlled by worldly passions, do not resist temptations, or are only interested in fulfilling his personal desires (even if these are healthy desires) cannot be an instrument in the hands of the holy God.

The battle for holiness is easy to be won, because God has already done everything we need to resist temptation. But those who are weak in face of temptation are constantly falling into the traps of the devil. The solution for them is to practice that which is taught in the Word of God. He who knows the Truth experiences freedom.  

A person who receives a message from God (whether the promise of a blessing or a warning) to deliver to someone but fails to do so, becomes guilty of the loss that this person may suffer. There is no reason to fear or not to fulfill the order of the Lord, because when God entrusts us with a mission, he gives us all necessary tools. When God called you for a mission, he had already prepared the other side to receive the message.

Those who are faithful to God are harvesting a crop for eternal life (John 4.36) and will receive their reward. Jesus spoke very clearly about the reward we receive every time we help anyone who believes in him. Those who are too busy to do the work of God will later discover that they despised the opportunity to harvest a crop for eternal life. But it will be too late.

When we were saved, we joined God’s army. He who refuses to comply with an order from God will be tried, because he has chosen not to fight the war of good against evil. Do not allow anything to prevent you from accomplishing the mission you have been entrusted with.

Ezekiel had to prophesy against the mountains of Israel. So many people are lost and live in error. There are people suffering all over our nation. We must turn our face to these people who have taken quick steps towards condemnation and give them the good news: everything they need has already been prepared and delivered.
