18/07/2015 - GOD’S STRANGE ACTS

For the Lord had caused the army of the Syrians to hear the noise of chariots and the noise of horses—the noise of a great army; so they said to one another, “Look, the king of Israel has hired against us the kings of the Hittites and the kings of the Egyptians to attack us!” 2 Kings 7.6

God’s acts cannot be compared to man’s, for they are greater, better, and more perfect. The Most High knows all things – he knows what is needed for a person to be delivered from evil oppressions. He desires our complete fulfillment, and therefore, shows us the exit to all problems. We just need to trust in His Word.

The King of Israel’s wickedness made Jerusalem besieged and without the livestock for the population. The same thing happens to those who are captivated, for their wickedness allows the enemy to coerce them. Those who trust in the Lord do not need to lament, for they find the answer to any adversity in the Word of God. Now those who do not consider the divine counsel are always in trouble.

The king only woke to see the tragic condition of the nation when two women made a diabolic pact. Unfortunately, many people only wake to see the truth when there is no more solution for them. Then, instead of seeking the good and merciful God, they seek for help in the wrong source. Now, the devil will never do any good, for he comes only to rob, kill, and destroy, as Jesus said (John 10.10a).

Ahab blamed the prophet and not himself, who was truly the responsible one. This is normal in humans. If something goes wrong in the house, the guilty one becomes silent, and when possible, throws the guilt on the innocent. It gets worse when they do not wake up to the fact that it is useless to hide the mistake, because sooner or later, the truth will be revealed. The unmasked in this life are lucky ones, since they can still repent.

Elisha’s prophecy became true as he said it. Be aware to who is being used by God, for the prophecy can come during a message, in an informal talk, or even directly. Whatever a person says by the Spirit, will happen, even if others do not want to admit it. Since the Most High is the Source of information, there will never be any mistake.

Four lepers were used to give the good news to the king (2 Kg 7.8-11), who was filthier than them, but in his heart. Take notice: we cannot judge anyone, especially those who suffer. It is a great mistake to think that the reason why someone has an incurable disease is because of sin. The solution to any evil is only one: to listen to words that come from the Father.

The right answer came from the mouth of the man of God. Therefore, always live in a relationship with Him. There is no way how the words of the Lord can go wrong or be annulled. When He acts, no one can stop Him (Is 43.13). It is not good to want to be a prophet, but if the Most High wants to use you, do not oppose him. After all, the Almighty knows how to do His work.

In Christ, with love,

God our supplier! What a lesson to know that it does not matter how things may be difficult, You have the power to help us and give us a solution. We only need to believe that Your operations are not comparable to what man does. Still today, You are sovereign and will always be in everything.

The king blamed Elisha, and the captain who disdained the prophet’s anointing could not participate in the blessing, for he saw the words of the man of God fulfilling in his life. It will be always so with those who do not believe in Your wonders and who abuse of those who serve You.

You used those four lepers, symbols of filthiness, to show the king that his heart was filthier than the heart of those sufferers. The entire nation received deliverance because of Elisha’s prophecy. May Your servants be ready to give Your message!
