And above all things have fervent love for one another, for love will cover a multitude of sins. 1 Peter 4.8

Jesus revealed to us the simplicity and the importance of His Word. However, many times, we do not pay attention to what He says and we allow the enemy to use us. This is terrible, because we should never submit ourselves to the evil one’s plans. Those who serve the devil, even if in a simple manner, become his servants. We must only serve our God.

Beyond any argument, we should always practice what the divine Word teaches us. Then, we do not need to worry with the threats from hell, for the devil cannot touch those who are filled with the Holy Spirit. Those who are in communion with the Lord are not touched by anything. Now, if the holy fire is active in someone, the enemy will burn completely if he invests against that life.

Having love for one another is the healing that we must see in the community of the saved. It is very sad when someone has something against his brother. For example, a person may be misled by gossip, and since he did not submit to God, he may be used by the evil one to hurt his brother. Now, loving one another means to use your authority to free that person and not allow that the evil one destroys him.

When we put our love into action – using our authority in Christ –, the needy person is so blessed that even if he has committed a multitude of sins, they will be forgiven. Now, imagine if this person has slipped only a little and receives this prayer of faith! Certainly, he will be completely cleansed and blessed. This power is in our hands to be used in the moment we feel the divine touch.

How different would our churches be if Christians loved one another intensely, instead of noticing their neighbor’s spouse, letting envy taking hold of their hearts and desiring goods and things that belong to someone else. If someone is happily married, may we demonstrate true love towards that couple, so that they may always be glad with the Lord’s blessing.

Loving heartedly, intensely, and with all faith must be done above any other thing. When we act in such a way, we are fulfilling the Law of the Lord, and thus, we have His favor. If you have lusted, desired, and even prayed for what belongs to your neighbor, stop playing with the devil and act as a servant of the Most High.

All the commandments are summarized in two: loving God above all things and our neighbor as ourselves (Mk 12.30,31). Those who do so reach a very high spiritual level, for they please God in everything. Start this great work in your own life, and as you feel any temptation in regards to any person, love this person in Christ.
