Because I knew that you were obstinate, and your neck was an iron sinew, and your brow bronze. Isaiah 48.4

What we are is not hidden from God’s eyes and, in order for us to be changed, we need to recognize that our nature is carnal and rebellious. This must not separate us from the Lord, because, even though He knew our essence, He loved us. What you must do now is believe that He is able and allow the Counselor, the Holy Spirit, to turn you into the person God planned for you and desires you to become. He is the Master Crafter for this task.

It is important that we do not settle for a partial change, but fight to reach the measure of the stature of Christ (Ephesians 4.13) because He lacks nothing to transform all those who submit to Him. You may have been born a difficult person to deal with, or life has made you that way, but, when you are born again, you are a new creation (2Corinthians 5.17). I have no doubt that the Most High can begin to work now a complete transformation in your life.

He is the excellent Potter and He can not only change you into what He desires, but He takes pleasure in molding you into His image and likeness. For this to happen you do not need to suffer, like fasting a lot, spending long hours in prayer, doing some kind of sacrifice or self-flagellation. Sanctification or separation from sin happens through the Word, when we believe what it says. You have been called to be holy (Leviticus 20.7).

You can tame a horse because of the bridle and the bit in its mouth; however, faith has been given us so that, through it we may subdue the kingdom of rebellion and evil that reigns over us. The Most High will strengthen you when you listen to what Scriptures say. And so you not only can, but must demand that any evil in your life must leave. Jesus has given us the assurance that anyone He makes free is free indeed (John 8.36).

When we are made free, we must not leave the house empty, swept and put in order, because the demon that was cast out will go through dry places, seeking rest but finding none he will try to return to his old house; when he returns and finds it uninhabited he will take with him seven other spirits more wicked than himself (Mathew 12.43-45). The secret is to be filled by the Holy Spirit who will, in turn, bear fruit in your life, producing nine wonderful virtues which will bring to you a good and happy life (Galatians 5.22).

Jesus said that those who believe would see the glory of God (John 11.40). This means that this person will have nothing that could hinder God’s work in his or her life. Do not act like the disciples of the Master who, even though they had faith and His presence in the boat, they became desperate because of the windstorm stirring the waters (Luke 8.22-24). They should have used the authority that was given them and brought peace where they were. Are you too lacking this?

The goal of our lives must be being born again and becoming the place where the Lord inhabits (John 3.3). Then we must do the same works the Master has done (John 14.12). Because when were are born again, we receive the same tools that were available to Christ. We must fulfill our mission as Jesus fulfilled the mission He received. We ought to honor the Most High and give Him much joy.

In Christ, with love,

Dr. Soares

Father, our Master Crafter! We need You and, just as the Israelites of old we too are stubborn; our necks are iron sinews and our brow bronze. However, because you have loved us we can be changed into Your likeness.

We now ask You for this change and all the glory will be Yours. Although we want it, we cannot change our own lives into what we ought to be. This is Your work, because You are perfect and complete.

Our desire is to be meek and humble and to please You in all we do, so that our witness will bring others to worship Your Name. Lord, we will do the same works Jesus did because we will have the same tools!
