Then great multitudes came to Him, having with them the lame, blind, mute, maimed, and many others; and they laid them down at Jesus’ feet, and He healed them. Matthew 15.30

In the days of Jesus, people had whom to run to. Nobody returned empty-handed when they went to the Lord. Undoubtedly, we lack men of God in our midst. However, those who believe in Christ prove their faith as they do the same that He did when He was among us. It was the Master that commissioned us as His successors (Lk 22.28-30). Apparently, the world lost a lot when He returned to the Father, but that was not what He said.

Why do we say so much about Jesus, but we cannot achieve the same divine works as in His days? Has the Lord changed, or perhaps we have not believed in Him and obeyed what He ordered us? The truth is that those who suffer are abandoned to their fate, but when someone decides to obey the Lord and is dedicated to find Him, He lets Himself be found, and then, miracles start happening again.

If you want to be used in the divine operations, seek the Lord in His Word. In order to do so, evidently, you must have a life of prayer and fasting, as well as believing that it is possible to be an instrument in the hands of the Most High in the same way as our brethren in the primitive Church.

The book of Acts declares that the servants of the Lord prayed until the floor trembled (Ac 16.25,26), and even facing great trials, they did not give up until they found an answer to their requests. This is what will make the miracles from the time of the Apostles happen again in our days.

When you notice that the same power given to the Son of God acts in us now, people will bring those in suffering to you, so that they are healed. However, when these people fight to get freed of sin, to do the work of God, and to fulfill their dreams, nothing will happen if they not receive it by faith. When the priority is to seek the divine power and to be moved by the inspiration of the Word of God, these people will know what attitude to make.

It is impressive what a true faith in God can do to people. When they know that the Holy Spirit has used a preacher, people come from everywhere seeking their blessing, bringing those in suffering. When someone decides to seek the Most High, he is moved by the certainty given by God that He is powerful to save all who are oppressed by the devil.

Jesus did not disappoint anyone who brought the sick to Him. With patience, knowing that the Father would not let Him down, the Master, as a minister, determined before the Most High that their suffering would leave, so that those people would be freed of their troubles.

Those who are called to belong to the Lord must act in the same manner, for people expect such attitude from those who call themselves servants of God.
