11/08/2017 - HOW TO DEAL WITH WEARINESS

And Rebekah said to Isaac, “I am weary of my life because of the daughters of Heth; if Jacob takes a wife of the daughters of Heth, like these who are the daughters of the land, what good will my life be to me?”  GENESIS 27:46

We must be careful not to grow weary from the bad things that happen, because, often times, the wrong is right before us and easy to repeat or to commit.  When she declared that she was weary because of the daughters of Heth which Esau took as wives, Rebekah touched Isaac’s heart.  So her husband soon called Jacob and sent him to his relative and Rebekah’s brother, to find a wife for his life and Jacob obeyed immediately.

Rebekah could not understand how her son Esau could be so heartless to provoke her. The truth is that anyone who is drawn by the enemy is capable of killing his own brother, like Cain, who was used by the evil one.  It is always good to pray for the one whom you do business with or have to speak about any matter. If this person is in the devil’s hands they can fool you, lie to you, steal you or even kill you.

The police news pages are full of examples of people who allowed themselves to be involved with the devil who showed them someone’s beauty and later as things progressed were led to confusion, dissension and homicide. Those who practice life in the limits of the bible will never be drawn into temptation.  There is no way the devil can succeed against you if you are in direct communion with Him who promises to keep you. Amen?

Esau had a bad character because he was far from God. He wanted to go against his father and mother when he married women that they did not approve.  Unfortunately this type of evil is still happening in our days but as time goes on, those who act like this will have done to themselves greater harm than to those that they intended to harm.  Alas!  Those that brought you to life would never desire your suffering!  Wake up!

Rebekah believed that Jacob’s prudence would be jeopardized if he married a foreigner for a wife.  In those days as is now and always will be, passion overwhelms and turns the greatest saint into a great sinner.  Beware and do not fall for the devil’s tales, who will do all he can to fool you, because as Jesus said, he is a liar, the father of lies.  (John 8:44).  In the Lord, however, you can trust and be sure because He is the Truth.

Esau and Jacob’s mother knew until then they had followed the Lord’s directions and since marriage is something of pleasure the person can go down the path of disobedience and deceit, she did not want to see the divine plan suffer any harm or loss.  Take charge and be careful of your own and don’t be foolish as mother or father that only want the “best” for their children.  Seek ye first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness and all these things shall be added unto you. (Matthew 6:33)

Rebekah respected Isaac’s authority, so she made her request. Jacob obeyed and so we see the Lord guide him in every matter. God’s care for Jacob is the proof that that mother was right.  Let the almighty care for you and live better in all things!

In Christ, with Love,

Lord, wise Conductor!  The records we have of You conducting Your people in the Old Testament are proof that you want to conduct us even more today because that which happened those days are symbols of what You are ready to do today.  Halleluiah!

God, don’t allow that any servant of Yours prevents any blessing from coming to his house by the way they live, by the sins of the past, which they have not completely and truly been delivered from.  Knowledge of the Truth does free us, but we must sincerely and completely repent.

That all my readers may be like Rebekah who sought first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness and not someone who upsets the divine plan.  Don’t allow any reader to be condemned for not keeping vigil, being weary, not honoring You, because this way their eternity is in jeopardy. Amen and Thank You!
